Education Minister Chaturon Chaisae

Education Minister Chaturon Chaisaeng was chased by a group of anti-government whistle-blowers after having lunch at a leading Bangkok hotel on Wednesday. The incident was caught on video and shared online by Vittayen Muttamara, managing director of the Democrat Party-owned Blue Sky satellite television channel.
According to Mr Vittayen, people blew their whistles at Mr Chaturon as he was leaving lunch at the Royal Princess Larn Luang Hotel in Bangkok. In the video, the minister walked out of the hotel and rushed to his car. His guard then told the whistle blowers to quiet down but one of them responded, "Why can't we blow our whistles?
Blowing whistles at Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her cabinet ministers is one of the four "civil disobedience" measures advocated by anti-amnesty leader Suthep Thaugsuban, a former Democrat MP, as part of protests against the government.
The other three measures are:
1) Employees at private companies and government officials should not go to work from Wednesday to Friday and join the rallies at protest venues in their respective provinces, or at least implement a go-slow at work.
2) Teachers should cancel classes and students not attend schools and universities throughout the country during the three-day period.
3) Private companies should delay paying taxes and companies should delay paying taxes and companies should fly national flags at their offices as a sign of protest.
The four civil disobedience measures have been criticised by the business sector amid worries they could affect the economy.
