Waterfalls
If there was a ranking of Thailand’s most powerful waterfalls, Haew Narok should be among those at the very top. This powerful fall plunges 150 metres straight down, sending off a thundering echo into the forest. In the rainy season, Haew Narok is extremely dangerous but still accessible via a two-km, moderately easy hike.
Equally popular is Haew Suwat Waterfall, with its beautiful 20-metre cascade and a pool where you can have a dip when the current is not too strong. From the parking lot, walk 200 metres and the fall is right in front of you. About three km from Haew Suwat, Pha Kluay Mai Waterfall is a beauty. Unlike the first two falls, this one zigzags down a 10-metre cliff which, from March to April, is festooned with wild orchid blossoms.
