คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติอนุมัติโครงการสนับสนุนจัดสวัสดิการเบี้ยยังชีพผู้สูงอายุ
4 การนำนโยบายไปปฏิบัติ
รัฐบาลได้มอบหมายให้กระทรวงพัฒนาสังคม และกระทรวงมหาดไทย ร่วมกันผลักดันโครงการสนนับสนุนจัดสวัสดิการเบี้ยยังชีพผู้สูงอายุโดยกระทรวงมหาดไทยมอบหมายให้องค์การปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นเป็นผู้ดำเนินการจดทะเบียนและจ่ายเงินเป็นรายเดือนแก่ผู้สูงอายุ
5 การประเมินผลนโยบาย
โครงการนี้ในปัจจุบันเป็นการจัดสรรงบประมาณเพื่อการนี้เป็นระยะที่ 2
ระยะแรกในปี 2552 ระหว่างเดือน เมษายน-กันยายน 2552
ระยะที่สองในปี 2553 ระหว่างเดือน ตุลาคม-กันยายน 2553
เมื่อผลประเมินโครงการแล้วถือว่าเป็นนโยบายที่ดีก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ และช่วยบรรเทาความเดือดร้อนให้กับประชาชนผู้สูงอายุ ได้มีรายได้เพื่อดำรงชีพอย่างพอเพียงได้ ดังนั้นรัฐบาลจึงได้มีโครงการระยะที่2ต่อไป
