ซึ่งสำนักงานโยธาธิการจังหวัดนครราชสีมาเขียนขึ้น (แบบแปลนที่ ยธ.นม.232) ตลอดจนขอทราบว่า แต่เดิมกรมศิลปากรได้ขึ้นทะเบียนประตูเมืองทั้ง 3 แห่ง เป็นโบราณสถานหรือไม่ และยินยอมให้จังหวัดนครราชสีมา ก่อสร้างประตูเมืองตามแบบแปลนที่ ยธ.นม.232 ดังกล่าวหรือไม่ กรมศิลปากรแจ้งให้ทราบว่า กรมศิลปากรมิได้ขึ้นทะเบียนโบราณสถานประตูเมืองทั้งสามไว้ จึงเป็นเรื่องที่อยู่ในดุลยพินิจของจังหวัดที่จะดำเนินการ (ตามหนังสือด่วนที่สุดที่ ศธ 0704/2016 ลงวันที่ 15 พฤษภาคม 2530)
