การเปลี่ยนแปลงของระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสน
การเปลี่ยนแปลงของระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ (Information Technology) ที่พัฒนาก้าวหน้าไปอย่างรวดเร็ว และเข้ามามีบทบาทในชีวิตประจำวันของคนจำนวนไม่น้อยทั้งด้านการติดต่อสื่อสาร การสืบค้นข้อมูล การสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือ ความบันเทิง ไม่เว้นแม้แต่ในกระบวนการจัดการเรียนการสอนทั้งในห้องเรียนและนอกห้องเรียน จนบ่อยครั้งทำให้รู้สึกว่าเราก้าวตามเทคโนโลยีไม่ทันเอาเลยทีเดียว
จะเห็นได้ชัดเจนว่าเทคโนโลยีสาร สนเทศเข้ามามีบทบาทด้านการศึกษามากขึ้น และมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ อย่างไม่มีใครสามารถหยุดยั้งได้ ดังนั้น สิ่งที่รัฐบาลต้องคิดให้หนักคือ การเรียนรู้ในโลกกว้างจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่จะต้องแนะนำให้เด็กได้เห็นทั้งคุณและโทษ ทำอย่าง ไรที่จะปลูกฝังแนวความคิดหลักการในการใช้เทคโนโลยีได้อย่างถูกต้องและเหมาะสม กับแต่ละช่วงวัย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคอมพิวเตอร์ อินเทอร์เน็ต แท็บเล็ต รวมถึงโซเชียลมีเดีย ทั้งหลาย
ปัจจุบันรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไปมาก นักเรียนไม่ได้เรียนเพียงแค่ในห้องสี่เหลี่ยม ที่มีครูยืนสอนหน้าชั้นหรือเขียนลงกระดานดำ นักเรียนนั่งฟังหรือจดตามที่ครูบอกเช่นในอดีต แต่มีรูปแบบการจัดการศึกษาที่หลากหลาย มีสื่อในรูปแบบใหม่ ๆ เกิดขึ้นมากมายที่จะช่วยให้นักเรียนเกิดการเรียนรู้ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งเทคโนโลยีได้เข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้ของนักเรียน มีการนำเทคโนโลยีมาบูรณาการกับเนื้อหาสาระทุกกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ในลักษณะดิจิตอล จนในวันนี้เรียกกันว่าเป็น “การศึกษายุคดิจิตอล” ที่เราไม่อาจหลีกเลี่ยงได้อย่างแน่นอน
แม้จะมีการทักท้วงกันบ่อยครั้งว่าหนังสือเรียนในรูปแบบเดิม ๆ ทำให้เป็นภาระที่เด็กจะต้องแบกหนังสือหนักไปโรงเรียนในแต่ละวัน แม้จะมีการจัดหนังสือเรียนตามตารางสอนแล้วก็ตาม แต่กระเป๋านักเรียนก็ยังหนักหลายกิโลกรัมเลยทีเดียว แต่การเปลี่ยนหนังสือเรียนมาเป็นดิจิตอล ไม่เพียงแค่จะลดภาระการแบกกระเป๋าของนักเรียนเท่านั้น ยังจะช่วยให้ต้นทุนในการผลิตลดลง การเข้าถึงกลุ่มเป้าหมายง่ายและรวด เร็วขึ้น อีกทั้งเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เรียนเกิดการเรียนรู้ที่สนุก สนานและท้าทายตามระดับความสามารถ ซึ่งสามารถเลื่อนขั้นไปเรียนรู้ประสบ การณ์ใหม่ได้ตามความต้องการ
สิ่งที่เราไม่อาจปฏิเสธได้นั่นคือ ในอนาคตหนังสือเรียนจะไม่เพียงแค่เป็นรูปเล่มที่นำเสนอด้วยตัวอักษรที่ยัดเยียดไปด้วยเนื้อหาสาระที่เยอะเกินความจำเป็น มีภาพประกอบบ้างซึ่งสามารถสื่อความหมายได้ตรงบ้างไม่ตรงบ้าง มีกิจกรรมท้ายบทเล็กน้อยแต่ไม่ได้เน้นกระบวนการคิดวิเคราะห์ หรือการมีส่วนร่วมของนักเรียนมากนักอย่างเช่นปัจจุบัน
เชื่อว่าหนังสือเรียนไทยในอนาคตจะต้องมีการปรับเปลี่ยนโฉมใหม่เพื่อรองรับความก้าวหน้าของเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ หรือ IT อย่างแน่นอน ในเบื้องต้นอาจจะค่อยเป็นค่อยไปจากหนังสือเรียนซึ่งเคยจัดพิมพ์เป็นรูปเล่มแบบเดิม แต่มีการ ปรับโฉมใหม่ในด้านการนำเสนอเนื้อหาและการออกแบบจัดรูปเล่ม ที่เน้นกระบวนการคิด การแก้ปัญหา มีกิจกรรมหลากหลายที่เน้นการมีส่วนร่วม ท้าทาย ให้นักเรียนใฝ่เรียนรู้ศึกษาค้นคว้าเพิ่มเติมด้วยตัวเอง
จากหนังสือเรียนที่เป็นรูปเล่มก็มีการใส่ “คิวอาร์โค้ด” (QR Code หรือ Quick Respond Code) ลงในหนังสือเรียนที่นำเสนอในรูปแบบใหม่ ซึ่งมีเนื้อหาครบถ้วนสอดคล้องตามที่หลักสูตรกำหนด ซึ่งเป็นรหัสบาร์โค้ดที่จะเชื่อมโยงไปยังเนื้อหาสาระที่นักเรียนควรได้เรียนรู้เพิ่มเติมอาจจะอยู่ในลักษณะของข้อความป๊อปอัพ (Pop Up) ภาพนิ่ง สไลด์ วิดีโอคลิป หรือลิงก์ไปยังเนื้อหาสาระในเว็บไซต์ต่าง ๆ ที่ผ่านการพิจารณาเลือกสรรมาอย่างถูกต้องเหมาะสม หรืออาจจะเป็นเนื้อหาสาระที่จัดทำขึ้นใหม่และเก็บไว้ในเว็บไซต์หรือฐานข้อมูลของหน่วยงาน เพียงแค่นักเรียนสแกนบาร์โค้ดด้วยกล้องไม่ว่าจะจากแท็บเล็ตหรือสมาร์ทโฟนก็สามารถเชื่อมโยงไปยังเนื้อหาอื่น ๆ ได้อีกมากมาย โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องไปห้องสมุดเพื่อค้นคว้าหาหนังสืออ่านเพิ่มเติมอีกต่อไป
จากนั้นก็มีแนวโน้มที่จะพัฒนาหนังสือเรียนในรูปแบบของหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (E-Book หรือ E-Textbook) ที่ผู้เรียนสามารถเรียนรู้ได้ทั้งแบบออนไลน์และแบบออฟไลน์ ถ้าแบบออนไลน์เป็นการใช้เครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์และอินเทอร์เน็ตเป็นช่องทางในการถ่ายทอดเนื้อหาที่นำเสนอทั้งข้อความ ภาพนิ่ง เสียง กราฟิก ภาพเคลื่อนไหว ส่วนการเรียนแบบออฟไลน์ผู้เรียนสามารถเข้าถึงเนื้อหาด้วยการอ่านผ่านอุปกรณ์อ่านหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์แบบต่าง ๆ เช่น เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ หรือเครื่องอ่านหนังสืออิเล็ก
ทรอนิกส์ (E-Book Reader) ได้โดยตรง โดยไม่ต้องผ่านระบบเครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์หรืออินเทอร์เน็ต หนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์มีหลายประเภทและรูปแบบ เช่น PDF ePUB DJVU HTML เป็นต้น
“Smart Textbook” ก็เป็นอีกรูปแบบหนึ่งที่เริ่มใช้ในบางประเทศ ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติเด่นหลายประการ เช่น ประหยัดค่าใช้จ่ายเนื่องจากนักเรียนสามารถซื้อบทเรียนทีละบทหรือเฉพาะบทที่ต้องใช้ นักเรียนเรียนรู้ได้มากขึ้นด้วยลักษณะมัลติมีเดีย เรียนรู้ร่วมกันโดยนักเรียนสามารถค้นหา อภิปราย แสดงความคิดเห็นและลิงก์ถึงกันได้ เป็นต้น จากผลการศึกษาของสหรัฐอเมริกาพบว่า นักเรียนต้องการ Smart Textbook เนื่องจากช่วยให้ประหยัด จ่ายเท่าที่ใช้จริง เป็นการเรียนแบบมีส่วนร่วม (Interactive) ทำให้นักเรียนจดจำข้อมูลได้ง่ายขึ้น รวมถึงผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสูงกว่าการเรียนแบบครูสอนแบบบรรยาย
แม้ว่าในอนาคตหนังสือเรียนไทยจะปรับเปลี่ยนจากเดิมที่เป็นรูปเล่มอยู่ในรูปแบบของสื่อดิจิตอลทั้งที่เป็น E-Book, E-Textbook, Smart Textbook และคงจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามพัฒนาการของเทคโนโลยีที่ไม่เคยหยุดนิ่ง ดังนั้น สิ่งสำคัญที่ขอฝากไว้ให้หน่วยงานระดับนโยบายได้พิจารณาไตร่ตรองให้ถ้วนถี่ แม้ว่าการพัฒนาจะเป็นสิ่งที่ดีเสมอก็ตาม แต่เราก็ต้องไม่มองข้ามด้าความพร้อม ความต้องการ ความจำเป็น และบริบทที่แท้จริงของประเทศไทย.
จะเห็นได้ชัดเจนว่าเทคโนโลยีสาร สนเทศเข้ามามีบทบาทด้านการศึกษามากขึ้น และมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ อย่างไม่มีใครสามารถหยุดยั้งได้ ดังนั้น สิ่งที่รัฐบาลต้องคิดให้หนักคือ การเรียนรู้ในโลกกว้างจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่จะต้องแนะนำให้เด็กได้เห็นทั้งคุณและโทษ ทำอย่าง ไรที่จะปลูกฝังแนวความคิดหลักการในการใช้เทคโนโลยีได้อย่างถูกต้องและเหมาะสม กับแต่ละช่วงวัย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคอมพิวเตอร์ อินเทอร์เน็ต แท็บเล็ต รวมถึงโซเชียลมีเดีย ทั้งหลาย
