ปริญญานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อการลดปริมาณของเสียในกระบวนการผลิตการเป่าขึ้นรูปขวดพลาสติก กรณีศึกษาบริษัท มหาธานีอุตสาหกรรม จำกัด โดยมีการศึกษาขั้นตอนการผลิตทั้งหมดและได้ออกแบบใบบันทึกของเสีย (Cheek Sheer) เพื่อใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลของเสียที่เกิดขึ้นซึ่งข้อมูลดังกล่าว จะนำมาวิเคราะห์หาสาเหตุของเสีย ด้วยหลักการ Why – Why Chart จากนั้นหาแนวทางแก้ไขด้วยหลักการ How – How Chart และแผนการควบคุมกระบวนการผลิต (Control Plan) พร้อมทั้งปรับปรุงขนาดความลึกของจิ๊กที่ใช้ในการผลิตขวดพลาสติก จากเดิม 23 มม. เพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 25 มม. จากการศึกษาพบว่าของเสียในกระบวนการผลิตก่อนการปรับปรุงคิดเป็น 11.52% ลดลงจากเดิม 8.35% และคิดเป็นต้นทุนที่สูญเสียไปเท่ากับ 6,057 บาท/เดือน หรือ 72,684 บาท/ปี ลดลงจากเดิม 1,665 บาท/เดือน หรือ 19,980 บาท/ปี
