การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับ “วิถีชีวิตของแรงงานต่างด้าว ในพื้นที่ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา” โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ของการศึกษา ประการที่หนึ่ง เพื่อศึกษาสาเหตุปัจจัยที่ทำให้แรงงานต่างด้าวเข้ามาทำงานในพื้นที่ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา ประการที่สองเพื่อศึกษาวิถีชีวิตทางด้านเศรษฐกิจ ของแรงงานต่างด้าวในพื้นที่ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา และ ประการที่สาม เพื่อศึกษาวิถีชีวิตทางด้านสังคม และวัฒนธรรมของแรงงานต่างด้าวในพื้นที่ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา ผ่านการศึกษาจากทฤษฏี แนวความคิด งานวิจัย และเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแรงงานต่างด้าวเพื่อนำความรู้ในส่วนนั้นมาสรุปเป็นประเด็น รวมถึงการศึกษาข้อมูลทางอินเตอร์เน็ต ทั้งนี้ในส่วนของการศึกษาวิถีชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าวในพื้นที่ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลาได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลผ่านการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกจากแบบสอบถามวิถีชีวิตแรงงานต่างด้าว และ นำมาวิเคราะห์และอภิปรายผล
