ตั้งอยู่ที่ตำบลโรงช้างทางทิศใต้ของตัวเมือง ติดกับถนนพิจิตร – สามง่าม - วังจิก (ใช้ทางหลวงหมายเลข 115 และทางหลวงหมายเลข 1068) ประมาณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 5 วัดนี้เป็นวัดเก่าแก่สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาเมื่อสมัยพระยาโคตรบองขึ้นครองราชย์ สถานที่แห่งนี้เรียกว่า กองช้าง เพราะเป็นที่พักของกองช้าง ต่อมาได้เรียกกันเพี้ยนไปเป็น คลองช้าง จนกระทั่งทางราชการได้เปิดโรงเรียนประชาบาลขึ้นที่วัดนี้ จึงได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น วัดโรงช้าง บริเวณวัดโรงช้างมีพระพุทธรูปใหญ่อยู่กลางแจ้ง 3 องค์ เป็น พระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัย ปางห้ามญาติ และปางไสยาสน์ สิ่งที่น่าสนใจของวัดนี้คือเจดีย์องค์ใหญ่ของวัด สร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2517 บริเวณรอบองค์เจดีย์มีตู้พระไตรปิฎก จำนวน 108 ตู้ เพื่อให้ประชาชนทั่วไปได้ทำบุญใส่ตู้เพื่อเป็นสิริมงคล และภายในองค์เจดีย์ได้สร้างเป็นห้องลับใต้ดินเพื่อใช้สำหรับ เก็บแผ่นอิฐจารึกพระไตรปิฎกจำนวน 84,000 พระธรรมขันธ์ โดยได้เล็งเห็นว่า ในอนาคตอาจมีเหตุการณ์ที่คาดไม่ถึงเช่น สงครามนิวเคลียร์ซึ่งอาจทำให้พระไตรปิฏกสูญหายจากโลกได้
