การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive study) เพื่อหาความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมตรวจมะเร็งปากมดลูกของสตรีกลุ่มเป้าหมาย อําเภอเขาพนม จังหวัดกระบี่ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ สตรีกลุ่มเป้าหมายอายุ 30 ปีขึ้นไปที่มีภูมิลําเนาในอําเภอเขาพนม จังหวัดกระบี่ คำนวณโดยใช้โปรแกรม S size ได้ขนาดกลุ่มตัวอย่างจํานวน 298 คน โดยแบ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มที่มารับการตรวจมะเร็งปากมดลูก จำนวน 201 คน และ กลุ่มที่ไม่ได้ตรวจมะเร็งปากมดลูก จํานวน 97 คน ใช้การสุ่ม กลุ่มตัวอย่าง แบบสัดส่วนกันในแต่ละ รพ.สต และสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบอย่างง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม สถิติที่ใช้ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สําหรับการวิเคราะห์หาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล และความเชื่อทางด้านสุขภาพ ใช้สถิติ Chi- square , Odds Ratio , 95 % CI
