อิสลามส่งเสริมให้เรารำลึกถึงความตาย เพื่อจะได้เพิ่มพูนการศรัทธาต่ออัลลอฮ์ โดยปฏิบัติคุณงามความดี ( อะมั้ล ) เพื่อฐานะอันสูงส่งใกล้ชิดกับพระองค์ และออกห่างจากพฤติกรรมอันโฉดเขลา ห่างไกลจากสิ่งเหลวไหลไร้สาระ เช่นนี้แหละ เพื่อความสงบสันติในชีวิตอาคิเราะฮ์ แต่กระนั้นอิสลามก็ไม่ส่งเสริมให้บุคคลใด ๆ คาดหวังอยากตาย หรือวิงวอนขอพรต่ออัลลอฮ์ให้ประสบกับความตาย อันเนื่องมาจากความยากจน ความเจ็บป่วยที่รุมเร้า ภัยทุกข์ยากต่าง ๆ ที่โหมกระหน่ำเข้ามาในชีวิต หรือสภาวะอันเลวร้ายใด ๆ ก็ตามที่ได้มาประสบกับเขา อิสลามสอนให้ผู้ศรัทธามีความหวังอยู่เสมอ หวังในพระเมตตาของอัลลอฮ์ที่แผ่ไพศาลครอบคลุมทุกสรรพสิ่ง ท่าน อนัส เล่าว่า ครั้งหนึ่งท่านนบี ( ศ๊อลฯ ) กล่าวว่า “ บุคคลหนึ่งจากพวกท่านอย่าได้อยากตายอันเนื่องทุกข์ภัยที่มาประสบกับตน แต่หากเขาจำเป็นต้องคาดหวังอยากตาย เขาผู้นั้นก็จงกล่าวบทขอพรเถิดว่า โอ้อัลลอฮ์ โปรดประทานชีวิตอยู่ต่อไปแก่ฉัน ตราบใดที่การมีชีวิตอยู่นั้นเป็นการดีสำหรับฉัน และโปรดประทานความตายแก่ฉันตราบใดที่ความตายนั้นเป็นการดีสำหรับฉัน ” ( บันทึกโดยอัลบุคอรีย์ ( 5347 ) จาก อนัส ) อิสลามสอนให้เราดำเนินชีวิตอยู่บนความไม่ประมาท เพราะความตายจะต้องประสบกับทุกคน เมื่อวาระแห่งความตายของบุคคลหนึ่งได้มาเยือน เขาไม่สามารถเร่งให้เร็วหรือประวิงให้ช้าออกไปได้แม้แต่น้อยเลย ฉะนั้น เราจะต้องเตรียมพร้อมเสมอที่จะกลับไปหาอัลลอฮ์ ซึ่งอิสลามได้สอนและแนะนำเอาไว้ อิสลามสอนให้ผู้ศรัทธามีความหวังอยู่เสมอ หวังในพระเมตตาของอัลลอฮ์ที่แผ่ไพศาลครอบคลุมทุกสรรพสิ่ง อิสลามสอนให้เราดำเนินชีวิตอยู่บนความไม่ประมาท เพราะความตายจะต้องประสบกับทุกคน ฉะนั้น เราจะต้องเตรียมพร้อมเสมอที่จะกลับไปหาอัลลอฮ์ ซึ่งอิสลามได้สอนและแนะนำเอาไว้ว่า
1. เตรียมเสบียงแห่งความดีให้พร้อม
2. มุ่งหวังพระเมตตาจากอัลลอฮ์
3.ส่งเสริมงานวิชาการ และอบรมบุตรหลานให้อยู่ในแนวทางอิสลาม
4.อ่านซูเราะฮ์อัลมุ้ลก์ ( ตะบาเราะกั้ลละซี ) เป็นประจำ
5. กล่าว ลา อิ ลา ฮะ อิ้ล ลั่ล ลอฮ์ และผูกพันตนเองอยู่กับมันจนกว่าจะตาย
