งานเทศกาลหิมะซัปโปโร (さっぽろ雪まつり) เป็

งานเทศกาลหิมะซัปโปโร (さっぽろ雪まつり) เป็นงานเทศกาลประจำปีงานหนึ่งที่ได้รับความสนใจจากผู้คนทั่วโลก และในรอบปีนี้ ก็จัดขึ้นเป็นปีที่ 60 พอดิบพอดี ในตัวงานเทศกาลก็จะมีการประดับประดางานประติมากรรมหิมะขนาดใหญ่โตประมาณ เท่าๆกับตึกแถว 3-4 คูหา ไปจนถึงงานขนาดเท่า 2-3 คนโอบ จัดแสดงไว้อย่างมากมาย แล้วก็มีส่วนการประกวดงานประติมากรรมหิมะจากนานาชาติ ซึ่งชาติไทยของเราก็เป็นหนึ่งประเทศที่เคยได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศงาน ประติมากรรมหิมะมาแล้วด้วย

แรกเริ่มเดิมที การปั้นตุ๊กตาหิมะเริ่มต้นขึ้นที่เมืองเล็กๆที่ชื่อว่าโอตารุ (小樽) ซึ่งเกิดจากความคิดของเด็กนักเรียน ตั้งแต่เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 1935 แล้วจนกระทั่งในปี ค.ศ. 1950 อันเป็นช่วงาวะฟื้นฟูหลังสงครามโลก สมาคมท่องเที่ยวซัปโปโร และคณะกรรมการเมืองซัปโปโรก็มีความเห็นว่า ควรจัดงานเทศกาลหิมะขึ้นเพื่อดึงดูดให้นักท่องเที่ยวมาเที่ยวซัปโปโรให้มาก ขึ้น จึงได้นำเอาไอเดียการปั้นหุ่นหิมะของเด็กๆจากโอตารุขึ้นมาเป็นรูปแบบ แล้วให้เหล่านักเรียน และได้รับความร่วมมือจากหน่วยงานรถไฟจังหวัดซัปโปโรมาร่วมปั้นงานแสดง ในการจัดครั้งแรก มีงานปั้นหิมะแค่เพียง 6 ชิ้นเท่านั้น และนอกจากนั้น ยังมีการแสดงความบันเทิงอื่นๆ และมีการแข่งสุนัขลากเลื่อนอีกด้วย

ในสมัยแรกๆของงานเทศกาล งานหิมะปั้นโดยมากก็เป็นงานฝีมือของเด็กๆทั้งสิ้น ความสูงของงานประติมากรรม โดยเฉลี่ยก็อยู่ที่ 3-4 เมตร จนกระทั่งในการจัดงานเทศกาลครั้งที่ 4 ได้มีกลุ่มนักเรียนโรงเรียนอาชีวะซัปโปโร ได้สร้างงานที่ชื่อว่า สู่สวรรค์ (昇天) ขึ้น และงานนี้ก็กลายเป็นงานปั้นหิมะที่มีความโดดเด่นขึ้นมาทันทีด้วยความสูงของ ชิ้นงานถึง 15 เมตร และนี่ถือเป็นงานชิ้นแรกที่มีการใช้เครื่องจักรกลหนักในการช่วยสร้างงาน ประติมากรรม - See more at: http://www.j-plan.co.th/index.php?op=jlife-detail&cid=14&id=155#sthash.o7BXPR5K.dpuf
