การวิจัย เรื่อง ความตระหนักต่อการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรการท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติของนักท่องเที่ยวในวนอุทยานพนมสวาย จังหวัดสุรินทร์ ในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาบริบทของแหล่งท่องเที่ยววนอุทยานแห่งชาติพนมสวาย อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุรินทร์ และเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยต่างๆ ที่ส่งผลต่อความตระหนักในการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรการท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติของนักท่องเที่ยว
กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักท่องเที่ยวที่เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยววนอุทยานแห่งชาติพนมสวาย อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุรินทร์ จำนวน 395 คน ผู้วิจัยใช้เครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถาม ประมวลผลข้อมูลด้วยโปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปทางสถิติ SPSS และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยเลขคณิต และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า
นักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง จำนวน 199 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 50.4 ส่วนใหญ่มีอายุระหว่าง 20-30 ปี จำนวน 138 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 34.9 มีสถานภาพโสด จำนวน 244 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 61.8 มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่ในจังหวัดสุรินทร์ จำนวน 168 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 42.5 ระดับการศึกษาสูงสุดปริญญาตรี จำนวน 129 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 32.7 ส่วนใหญ่ประกอบอาชีพนักเรียน/นักศึกษา จำนวน 123 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 31.1 และมีรายได้ต่อเดือนต่ำกว่า 5,000 บาท จำนวน 116 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 29.4
นักท่องเที่ยวมีความตระหนักต่อการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรการท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติในวนอุทยานเขาพนมสวาย จังหวัดสุรินทร์ โดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับสูง ( = 3.99) เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้านพบว่ามีความพึงพอใจอยู่ในระดับสูงทุกด้าน โดยเรียงลำดับค่าเฉลี่ยจากมากไปหาน้อยดังนี้ อันดับแรกด้านความใส่ใจและการให้คุณค่า ( = 4.18) รองลงมาด้านประสบการณ์ที่มีต่อการรับรู้ ( = 4.02) และน้อยที่สุดด้านความเคยชินต่อสภาพแวดล้อม ( = 3.83)
