โครงงานวิจัยนี้ ทำการวิเคราะห์และปรับปรุงการทำงานของพนักงานภายในคลังสินค้า และทำการแก้ปัญหาการเก็บข้อมูลสินค้าภายในคลังสินค้า โดยทำการศึกษาคลังสินค้าของสายการผลิตรถกระบะ (R70) ของ บริษัท เจนเนอรัล มอเตอร์ส (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อวิเคราะห์การทำงานของพนักงานในกระบวนการ รับชิ้นส่วน คืนบรรจุภัณฑ์เปล่า การเตรียมสายไฟ IP Brower Heater และ กระจกหน้า – หลัง และปรับปรุงประสิทธิภาพการทำงานโดยการเทียบจากการสถานการณ์การทำงานปัจจุบัน กับสถานการณ์หลังได้รับการปรับปรุง โดยใช้ Arena Simulation เป็นตัววัดประสิทธิภาพหลังการลดจำนวนพนักงานและได้ทำการสร้างฐานเก็บข้อมูลผ่าน Excel ด้วย Visual Basic เข้ามาช่วยในการทำงาน งานวิจัยนี้เริ่มต้นด้วยการศึกษาสภาพการทำงานของบริษัทโดยอาศัยผู้มีประสบการณ์ช่วยชี้เพื่อให้เห็นถึงปัญหาและคัดเลือกปัญหาขึ้น จากนั้นทำการศึกษาข้อมูลของปัญหา ซึ่งพบว่าพนักงานเกิดการว่างงานเป็นเวลานานเพื่อรอกระบวนที่เป็นจุดคอขวด อีกทั้งยังพบปัญหาการเก็บข้อมูลซึ่งส่วนของคลังสินค้าเองไม่มีการเก็บข้อมูลเป็นของคลังสินค้าเอง แต่อาศัยข้อมูลจากระบบซึ่งบางครั้งระบบยังไม่ตัดของเสียจึงทำให้จำนวนสินค้าในระบบ มีไม่เท่ากับจำนวนจริงนำมาซึ่งปัญหาสินค้าขาดมือบ่อยครั้ง
