โครงงานนี้เป็นพัฒนาเครื่องนึ่งและอบแห้งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ร่วมกับอินฟราเรดเพื่อลดความชื้นข้าวฮางงอก โดยการนำเครื่องอบแห้งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์มาใช้แทนกระบวนการผลิตแบบดั้งเดิมที่ใช้แสงอาทิตย์ในการลดความชื้นและการตากแดดธรรมชาตินี้ก่อให้เกิดปัญหา เช่น เรื่องสภาพอากาศ ฝนตก แดดไม่มี และฝุ่นละออง โดยการทดลองทำการเปรียบเทียบระยะเวลาในการอบแห้งวิธีต่างๆ และในส่วนของการนึ่งข้าวทำการเปรียบเทียบการใช้พลังงานต่างๆโดยในปัจจุบันใช้ แก๊สLPGในการนึ่ง จึงทำการออกแบบให้มีSolar Collector มาใช้ร่วมกับฮีตเตอร์ไฟฟ้า
