บ่อน้ำร้อนเขาชัยสนได้มีการบูรณะ และปรับปรุงมาตามลำดับคือ ในปี พ.ศ. 2494 พระพิศาลธรรมรังสี (พระราชปฏิภาณมุนี เจ้าคณะจังหวัดพัทลุง) ได้เดินทางมาบูรณะและสร้างกำแพงล้อมรอบบ่อน้ำร้อน ปี พ.ศ.2536 การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยได้จัดสรรงบประมาณให้กับองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดพัทลุง เพื่อปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์โดยรอบ ปี พ.ศ. 2544 จังหวัดพัทลุง แจ้งเปลี่ยนแปลงหน่วยงานรับผิดชอบบ่อน้ำร้อน เป็นองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลเขาชัยสน ปี พ.ศ. 2545 การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทยได้จัดสรรงบประมาณโครงการพัฒนาสาขาการท่องเที่ยวภายใต้ค่าใช้จ่ายสำรองเพื่อกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจให้แก่องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลเขาชัยสน จำนวน 13,536,000 บาท เพื่อพัฒนาบ่อน้ำร้อน
