The spawning of Hearts can be abused to create a farm for infinite health in an Arena. A partial workaround for the heart proximity limitations is to place the statues high on narrow ledges, allowing some or all of the hearts to drop. They need to be over 36 blocks above the point where the hearts will land.
It's known to bug sometimes and not cap at 3 hearts per area.
