ที่มาและความสำคัญ
เนื่องจากโรงเรียนของเราอยู่ในเขตชุมชนที่เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญและมีสถานบริการด้านอาหารเป็นจำนวนมาก จึงมีชาวต่างชาติมาใช้บริการและอาศัย การสื่อสารทางเดียวคือ ภาษาอังกฤษกับผู้ใช้บริการ
จากสภาพจริงที่เกิดขึ้นบางครั้ง ชาวต่างชาติมีการสื่อสารกับผู้ให้บริการ เช่น พ่อค้า , แม่ค้า พบว่าไม่สามารถสื่อสารกันได้ถูกต้อง จึงเกิดความเข้าใจที่ไม่ตรงกัน ไม่สามารถบริการได้ตรงตามความต้องการ โดยเฉพาะการบริการด้านอาหารที่มีอยู่ในชุมชนรอบๆโรงเรียนที่มีเป็นจำนวนมาก ไม่สามารถบริการอาหารได้ตรงตามความต้องการของชาวต่างชาติได้ดีเท่าที่ควร จึงจัดทำรายการอาหารที่เป็นภาษาอังกฤษควบคู่กับรายการอาหารที่เป็นภาษาไทย นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติสนใจอาหารพื้นบ้านของไทยมากขึ้น และอาหารไทยที่นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาตินิยมรับประทาน คือ ส้มตำ จึงได้คิดจัดทำโครงงาน “ตำผลไม้ ( Spicy fruits salad )” ขึ้น โดยนำเค้าโครงของโครงงานนี้ไปปรึกษาคุณครูพัชราภรณ์ โตแก้ว คุณครูที่สอนกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศ (ภาษาอังกฤษ) ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุน ให้คำแนะนำ ข้อเสนอแนะในการจัดทำโครงงาน “ตำผลไม้ ( Spicy fruits salad )” เป็นอย่างดี
