พ.ศ. 2523 เป็นประธานก่อตั้งกลุ่ม "ศิลปไทย 23" เพื่อต้านอิทธิพลศิลปะจากยุโรป อเมริกา
พ.ศ. 2527 เริ่มโครงการจิตรกรรมฝาผนังวัดพุทธประทีป กรุงลอนดอน ประเทศอังกฤษ และเดินทางไปเขียนภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังวัดพุทธปทีป โดยไม่คิดค่าจ้าง
พ.ศ. 2539 เริ่มดำเนินการออกแบบก่อสร้างอุโบสถ วัดร่องขุ่น จังหวัดเชียงรายบ้านเกิดของตนถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
