ทรงพระราชทานนามใหม่จากห้วยคตเป็นห้วย“มงคล”ซึ่งปัจจุบันใช้เป็นทั้งชื่อหมู่บ้าน วัด โรงเรียน และโครงการต่างๆ กว่าสี่สิบปีแล้วที่หมู่บ้านห้วยมงคลเป็นที่ที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงเสด็จมาเยี่ยมประชาชน ด้วยโครงการต่างๆที่เกิดขึ้นในหมู่บ้าน
