ที่มาและความสําคัญของโครงงาน
เนื่องจากปริมาณขยะในปัจจุบันเป็นปัญหาต่อสภาวะแวดล้อม อาทิเช่น เศษไม้ โฟม ซองขนม แกวพลาสติกถุงพลาสติก รวมทั้งขวดน้ำ ที่แม้จะมีการนํากลับมาใช้ใหม่ ได้แต่พลังงานที่สูญเสียไปในการหลอมทําลายขวด เพื่อนํากลับมาใช้ใหม่นั้นก็เป็นการสิ้นเปลือง พลังงานและเป็นผลเสียต่อสภาพแวดล้อมในปัจจุบันอีกด้วย ทางผู้จัดทํา ได้นําปัญหาขยะเหล่านี้มาวิเคราะห์ และมีความคิดริเริ่มที่จะช่วยลดปริมาณและกาทําลายขยะ ที่มีอยู่ จึงทําให้เกิดเป็นโครงงานสิ่งประดิษฐ์จากเศษวัสดุเหลือใช้ โดยได้ชิ้นงานที่เกิดจากการได้ไม้มาเป็นส่วนประกอบหลัก และออกมาเป็นชิ้นงานมีชื่อว่า บ้านกุญแจอเนกประสงค์ แนวคิดคือ สามารถนําขยะที่ไม่ใช้แล้วมาทําให้เป็นชิ้นงานที่สามารถนําไปใช้งานได้จริงและสามารถเพิ่มมูลค่าให้กับขยะเหล่านั้นได้ รวมทั้งสร้างจิตสํานึกรักษาสภาพแวดล้อมที่ มีอยูของตนให้ยั่งยืน ลดการใช้พลังงาน และลดภาวะโลกร้อนในปัจจุบันและใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์อีกด้วย
จุดม่งหมายของการทําโครงงาน
1. เพื่อช่วยลดปริมาณขยะต่างๆภายในครัวเรือน
2. เพื่อนําขยะเหล่ากลับมาใช้ใหม่
3. ใช้เวลาวางให้เกิดประโยชน์ และสร้างจิตสํานึกรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม
