ในกรณีที่พนักงานมีกิจธุระจำเป็นเร่งด่วน ซึ่งไม่สามารถยื่นใบลาล่วงหน้าได้ พนักงานต้องแจ้งเหตุผลให้ผู้บังคับบัญชาทราบทันทีก่อนเวลาทำงานในวันนั้น เพื่อผู้บังคับบัญชาจะจัดให้ผู้อื่นปฏิบัติหน้าที่แทน และต้องยื่นใบลาในวันแรกที่กลับเข้าทำงาน
