โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อออกแบบและสร้างเครื่องแลกธนบัตรให้เป็นเหรียญด้วยวิธีอัตโนมัติ มีขนาดความกว้าง 30 เซนติเมตร และความสูง 60 เซนติเมตร โดยใช้มอเตอร์ไฟฟ้ากระแสตรง 12 โวลต์ เป็นตัวดันเหรียญออกมา ความคุมด้วยระบบไมโครคอนโทรลเลอร์ เพื่อทดสอบประสิทธิภาพของเครื่องแลกธนบัตรให้เป็นเหรียญ ด้วยระบบอัตโนมัติ ที่ใช้กับธนบัตรใบละ 500, 100, 50 และ20 บาท สามารถแลกเป็นเหรียญ 10 และ 5 ตามลำดับ
