เทศบาลนครอุดรธานี จัดงานในวันครูเพื่อบูชาครูผู้เป็นบูรพาจารย์ เมื่อ 16 มค.2557 เวลา 14.00 น. ที่หอประชุมโรงเรียนมัธยมเทศบาล 6 โดยมีวัถตุประสงค์ในการจัดงานครั้งนี้ เพื่อให้ครูทุกคนได้ประกอบพิธีระลึกถึงพระคุณบูรพาอาจารย์ และให้ครูทุกคนได้เชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ และสามัคคีระหว่างเพื่อนครูด้วยกัน พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างครูและประชาชนผู้ปกครองทั่วไป โดย นายอิทธิพนธ์ ตรีวัฒนสุวรรณ นายกเทศบาลนครอุดรธานี เป็นประธานเปิดงานกิจกรรมในวันครูประจำปี 2557 โดยมีครูในสังกัด เทศบาลนครอุดรธานีมาร่วมกิจกรรม ในปีนี้มีครูที่ได้รับใบประกาศเชิดชูเกียรติครู จำนวน 163 คน

โดยในปีนี้ ได้มีครูที่ได้รับใบประกาศเชิดชูเกียรติครู จำนวน 163 คน ซึ่งวัถตุประสงค์ ในการจัดงานครั้งนี้ เพื่อให้ครูทุกคนได้ประอบพิธีระลึกถึงพระคุณบูรพาอาจารย์ และให้ครูทุกคนได้เชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ และสามัคคีระหว่างเพื่อนครูด้วยกัน พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมความเข้าใจอันดีระหว่างครูประชาชน ด้วย
