เนื่องจากสภาพสังคมในปัจจุบันพบว่า คนไทยอ่านหนังสือเฉลี่ยปีละ 8 บรรทัด ซึ่งถือเป็นจำนวนที่น้อยมาก ประกอบกับการอ่านหนังสือถือเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญในการเรียนรู้สิ่งต่างๆของเยาวชนในยุคปัจจุบันอีกด้วย จึงจัดทำโครงงานนี้ขึ้นมา เพื่อนำข้อมูลที่สำรวจนั้นมาจัดการส่งเสริมการอ่านและปรับเปลี่ยนทัศนคติในการอ่านหนังสือของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ปีการศึกษา 2558 โรงเรียนลาดยาววิทยาคม อำเภอลาดยาว จังหวัดนครสวรรค์ให้มีเสถียรภาพมากขึ้น
