การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกประชาชนอายุ 80 ปีขึ้นไป ที่มีสุขภาพดี จำนวน 15 คน รวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกตามแบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้างที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น แนวคำถามให้ครอบคลุมปัจจัยทั้งด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ สังคม และจิตวิญญาณที่สัมพันธ์กับการมีอายุยืน และได้รับการตรวจสอบความครอบคลุมของเนื้อหาโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 2 ท่าน ร่วมกับการสังเกต ศึกษาย้อนกลับไปถึงประวัติชีวิตและการดำเนินชีวิตในอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก คือ ผู้สูงอายุที่มีอายุยืน(อายุ 80 ปีขึ้นไป) และมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี จำนวน 15 คน ในอำเภอบ้านนา จังหวัดนครนายก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพโดยการวิเคราะห์ส่วนประกอบ (Component Analysis)
