วัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาการผลิตหนังสือเสียงสำหรับผู้พิการทางสายตาโดยใช้เสียงประกอบที่ผลิตขึ้นเองและเทคนิคการบีบเสียง เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจของผู้พิการทางสายตาที่มีต่อหนังสือเสียงที่ผลิตขึ้น ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ผลิตหนังสือเสียงระบบเดซี่เรื่อง “ชีวิตทนง” ความยาวประมาณ 4 ชั่วโมง จากหนังสืออ่านนอกเวลา ซึ่งแตกต่างจากหนังสือเสียงทั่วไป วิธีการศึกษาการผลิตหนังสือเสียง โดยบันทึกเสียงบรรยายในห้องบันทึกเสียง และบันทึกเสียงประกอบที่ผลิตขึ้นเองและเสียงประกอบที่บันทึกจากเหตุการณ์จริง ตัดต่อเสียงด้วยโปรแกรม Adobe Audition และใส่เทคนิคการบีบเสียงโดยใช้โปรแกรม Nero และ Audacity แล้วนำไฟล์เสียงเข้าระบบเดซี ด้วยโปรแกรม Obi เพื่อนำไปเปิดให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 15 คน ซึ่งเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง โดยให้กลุ่มตัวอย่างรับฟังหนังสือเสียง และผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้ง 3 ด้าน จากวิธีการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก ทำการประเมินคุณภาพหนังสือเสียง แล้วสรุปผลด้วยค่าสถิติอย่างง่าย
