เบื้องต้นเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจคาดว่าผู้ตายน่าจะเกิดความเครียดจนคิดสั้น หลังกลับมาที่ห้องแล้วไม่พบอดีตคนเคยรัก จึงเข้าใจว่าถูกทิ้งให้เดียวดาย จึงกระโดดตึกหนีปัญหาดังกล่าว อย่างไรก็ตามเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ส่งศพไปชันสูตรและเร่งสอบปากคำพยานเพิ่มเติม เพื่อหาสาเหตุที่แท้จริงต่อไป
