ส่วนการศึกษาฤทธิ์ต้านเซลล์มะเร็งของสารสกัดเห็ดหลินจือและสปอร์เห็ดหลินจือในหลอดทดลองทำให้เซลล์มะเร็งตายได้นั้น ขณะนี้อยู่ระหว่างการรอผลการวิจัยทางคลินิกในผู้ป่วยโรคมะเร็ง โดยคณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ คาดว่าผลการวิจัยจะเสร็จสิ้นเร็วๆ นี้
