บทคัดย่อ
รายงานวิจัยเล่มนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่สำคัญสองประการคือ 1) เพื่อวิเคราะห์แนวคิดวรรณกรรมเรื่อง ประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนาน 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์กระบวนการใช้วาทกรรมทางการเมืองของมิเชล ฟูโกต์ ในวรรณกรรมเรื่อง ประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนานและทำให้เห็นถึงอำนาจวาทกรรมที่มีต่อมนุษย์ในสังคม ซึ่งขอบเขตในการวิจัยเป็นการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงเอกสารด้วยการศึกษาวิเคราะห์วาทกรรมของมิเชล ฟูโกต์ ที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมการเมือง เรื่องประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนาน ประพันธ์โดยวินทร์ เลียววาริณ ซึ่งได้รับรางวัลวรรณกรรมสร้างสรรค์ยอดเยี่ยมแห่งอาเซียนของประเทศไทย (ซีไรต์) ประจำปี พ.ศ. 2540 วรรณกรรมเรื่องประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนาน เป็นการจำลองเหตุการณ์ทางการเมืองเด่นๆที่เกิดขึ้นตั้งแต่ปีแรกของระบอบประชาธิปไตยในประเทศไทย พ.ศ.2475 ถึง พ.ศ.2535 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลาที่ยาวนานถึงหกสิบปี ส่วนหนึ่งของตัวละครและเหตุการณ์เป็นของจริงที่อ้างอิงจากหนังสือและบันทึกข้อมูลต่างๆ ทั้งสิบเอ็ดเรื่องนี้สมบูรณ์เป็นเอกทัศน์ในตัวมันเองและร้อยต่อกันเป็นเรื่องรวมอยู่ในหนังสือเล่มนี้ทั้งหมด 437 หน้า
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า แนวคิดในวรรณกรรม เรื่องประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนาน ทำให้เห็นถึงแนวความคิดซึ่งเป็นส่วนที่สำคัญของวรรณกรรมและเป็นทัศนะของผู้แต่งที่มุ่งเสนอและสื่อถึงผู้อ่าน ซึ่งพบแนวคิดสำคัญ 2 รูปแบบ รูปแบบที่หนึ่ง แนวคิดเกี่ยวเกี่ยวกับประวัติศาสตร์การเมืองไทย รูปแบบที่สอง แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับระบอบประชาธิปไตยและลัทธิคอมมิวนิสต์ และเห็นถึงกระบวนการใช้วาทกรรมในเรื่องประชาธิปไตยบนเส้นขนานและอำนาจของวาทกรรมที่มีต่อมนุษย์ในสังคม ผู้เขียนได้สร้างสรรค์วรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้ขึ้นมาโดยมีกระบวนการใช้วาทกรรมที่คมคายและโน้มน้าวความคิดของผู้อ่านให้คล้อยตามได้อย่างมีชั้นเชิง
