ประวัติหอสมุด
สำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ เดิมมีชื่อเรียกว่า ห้องสมุดวิทยาลัยไทยเทคนิค เริ่มก่อตั้งขึ้นพร้อมกับการก่อตั้งวิทยาลัยไทยเทคนิคในปี พ.ศ. 2505 ต่อมาเมื่อมีการเปลี่ยนชื่อเรียกสถาบันจากวิทยาลัยไทยเทคนิค เป็นวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ ห้องสมุดจึงได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น แผนกห้องสมุดวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ
สำนักหอสมุดมีหนังสือภาษาไทยและต่างประเทศมากกว่า 300,000 เล่ม วารสารกว่า 80,000 เล่ม สื่อโสตทัศนวัสดุกว่า 15,000 รายการ และมีคอมพิวเตอร์เครือข่าย (Internet) ไว้บริการนักศึกษาจำนวนกว่า 500 เครื่อง เปิดให้บริการตั้งแต่วันจันทร์ถึงวันเสาร์ เวลา 07.30 -21.00 น. และวันอาทิตย์ เวลา 09.00 - 19.00 น. ที่วิทยาเขตกล้วยน้ำไท และวันจันทร์ถึงวันเสาร์ เวลา 07.30 - 19.00 น.
•บริการ Document Delivery เพื่อเป็นการลดภาระในการเดินทาง และเป็นช่องทางที่สำนักหอสมุดสามารถส่งข้อมูลไปยังมือผู้ใช้ในเวลาที่รวดเร็ว ผู้ใช้สามารถระบุรูปแบบข้อมูลที่ต้องการให้จัดส่ง เช่น ดิจิตอลหรือสิ่งพิมพ์ วิทยาเขตที่ต้องการรับสิ่งพิมพ์ อีเมล์ที่ต้องการให้ติดต่อ เป็นต้น
•บริการ Digital Collection เพื่อจัดทำข้อมูลด้านผลงานการศึกษาและค้นคว้าของนักศึกษาในรูปสารนิพนธ์ วิทยานิพนธ์ และผลงานวิจัยของคณาจารย์ให้อยู่ในรูปอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ สะดวกต่อการเข้าถึงผ่านเครือข่าย
•บริการ Content Alert เพื่อจัดส่งข่าวสาร และบทความวารสารในสาขาวิชาที่ผู้ใช้ระบุความต้องการผ่านอีเมล์
•บริการ Course Material Reserve เพื่อรวบรวมเอกสารบทความวารสาร ฯลฯ ตามรายวิชาที่คณาจารย์ต้องการให้นักศึกษาค้นคว้าในรูปแบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ซึ่งผู้ใช้สามารถเรียกใช้จากที่ใดก็ได้โดย ไม่จำเป็นต้องมาที่สำนักหอสมุด
•บริการ Multimedia ภายใน Edutainment Zone ที่ให้บริการข้อมูลภาพและเสียงทางวิชาการและการสันทนาการภายในสำนักหอสมุด ในรูป Video on Demand และ Audio on Demand
•บริการเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ภายในสำนักหอสมุด เพื่อให้ผู้ใช้สามารถเข้าถึงระบบสารสนเทศอื่นๆ ได้โดยให้บริการคอมพิวเตอร์มากกว่า 500 Stations และบริการจุด Wi-Fi สำหรับเทคโนโลยีไร้สาย
