วัชระ กว้างไชย์ เป็นศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ จบการศึกษาระดับศิลปบัณฑิต และ ศิลปมหาบัณฑิต ภาควิชาศิลปไทย คณะจิตรกรรมประติมากรรมและภาพพิมพ์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ตลอดระยะเวลา 5 ปีที่ผ่าน วัชระประสบความสำเร็จจากการพัฒนาแนวทางการทำงานศิลปะแสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นเฉพาะตนเด่นชัด และปรากฏผลงานแสดงนิทรรศการและได้รางวัลครั้งสำคัญมาแล้วหลายครั้ง อีกทั้งการได้รับเชิญไปแสดงงานยังต่างประเทศ เช่น ญี่ปุ่น

ปัจจุบัน วัชระยังค้นคว้าแนวทางใหม่ของตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่องทางมายาคติและโลกความเป็นจริง ผลงานชุดปัจจุบัน วัชระกลับมาสนใจการแสดงออกทางทักษะฝีมืออันประณีต โดยการเขียนภาพเทวรูปแบบอุดมคติ และธรรมชาติจากความเป็นจริงในองค์ประกอบของภาพวงกลมที่เคยใช้เป็นรูปแห่งสัญลักษณ์ วัชระต้องการสื่อความงามจากสายตา เพื่อสะท้อนถึงความสุขสงบที่เกิดขึ้นในใจ ให้มนุษย์ได้ตระหนักชีวิตอันอุดมสุขอย่างแท้จริงนั้น คือการเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกันกับธรรมชาติ ซึ่งนับวันกำลังถูกความเจริญของโลกวัตถุทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อมทางธรรมชาติ อาจถึงขั้นวิบัติในเร็ววัน จนยากที่เราจะแก้ไขได้ และนี่คือบทบาทที่สำคัญอันหนึ่งสำหรับศิลปินช่วยกันสร้างความตระหนักรู้
