หลังจากผู้เขียนหนังสือ ประสบปัญหาใหญ่ของชีวิต เค้าถอยไปตั้งหลักโดยการไปศึกษาธรรมะ ปฏิบัติธรรม และเข้าใจถึงสัจธรรม ไม่เก็บทุกข์ไว้ในใจ แล้วกลับมาแก้ปัญหา ใช้จ่ายให้พอดีตัว ไม่จำเป็นต้องใช้ชีวิตหรูหรา ก็สามารถลดค่าใช้จ่ายได้มาก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นรถแพงๆ บ้านหรูหรา และใช้สติในการประกอบธุรกิจ ส่งเสริมให้พนักงานศึกษาธรรมะ เพราะเชื่อว่าการทำธุรกิจที่มีพื้นฐานจากความสุจริตและใจที่ปรารถนาดี มองการทำงานเป็นการทำความดีให้แก่ลูกค้า ไม่เอารัดเอาเปรียบผู้อื่น ทำให้พนักงานรู้สึกดีจากการทำงาน และทำให้ผลงานดีขึ้น จนในที่สุดผู้เขียนหนังสือก็ปลดหนี้ได้หมด และลาออกจากตำแหน่งหน้าที่การงาน มาทำสิ่งที่ตนต้องการทำ คือ ปฏิบัติและส่งเสริมธรรมะ มีเวลาว่างก็ไปบรรยาย ให้คนอื่นๆที่มีปัญหา ให้มีกำลังใจ มีความเข้มแข็งในการดำเนินชีวิต


สิ่งที่ผมชอบการเขียนหนังสือของผู้เขียน คือความกระชับ ไม่ยืดยื้อของเนื้อหา พร้อมทั้งการเล่าตัวอย่างสั้นๆที่ทำให้เห็นภาพ อย่าง ลิงกับกะปิ รอยตะปู ใช้ตะเกียบคีบภูเขา เรื่องที่ผมชอบมากคือ แก้วที่ไม่เคยพอ ที่เราเคยได้ยินว่าแก้วน้ำมีน้ำอยู่ครึ่งแก้ว คนในแง่ดีมองว่ามีตั้งครึ่งแก้ว ในขณะที่คนมองโลกแง่ร้ายจะบอกว่าเหลือแค่ครึ่งแก้วเอง แต่ทำไมเราไม่มองว่าแก้วที่เรามีใหญ่ไป ถ้าเรามีแก้วเล็กกว่านี้ครึ่งหนึ่ง น้ำที่มีอยู่ก็เต็มแก้วพอดี…

หนังสือเล่มนี้จริงๆแล้วไม่ได้พูดถึงอะไรพิเศษ ไม่มีทางออกที่มหัศจรรย์ ทุกอย่างที่เขียนไว้ จริงๆเราก็รู้อยู่แล้ว แต่สิ่งที่หนังสือเล่มนี้สื่อก็คือ อะไรคือปัญหา(ใจเรา) ต้องปฏิบัติ(ควบคุมจิตใจ สร้างเข็มทิศของตัวเอง อย่ายึดติดกับวัตถุ หรือกิเลส) ทำหน้าที่ของเราให้ดีที่สุด มีเวลาให้กับคนที่มีความสำคัญต่อชีวิตเรา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคนในครอบครัว มิตร และแบ่งเวลาทำอะไรให้สังคมบ้าง โลกก็จะน่าอยู่ขึ้นอีกเยอะเลยครับ
