ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาที่สำคัญต่อโลกปัจจุบันนี้มาก เพราะเป็นภาษากลางในการสื่อสารติดต่อกับคนทั่วโลก การสื่อสารกับชาวต่างชาติและประเทศอื่น จะทำให้เราพัฒนาได้เร็วมากขึ้นทั้งทางด้านเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรม เพราะทุกวันนี้เราไม่ได้เจอแค่คนไทยแค่ชาติเดียวทุกวันนี้ชาวต่างชาติได้เข้ามาท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทยมากขึ้น จนหลายเดือนที่ผ่านมา กรุงเทพมหานครได้ชื่อว่าเป็นเมืองที่มีชาวต่างชาติมาเยอะที่สุดในโลก รัฐบาลจึงมีโครงการเกี่ยวกับการพูดภาษาอังกฤษมากมากมาย และได้เสริมวิชาฟัง – พูด และ อ่าน – เขียนภาษาอังกฤษมากขึ้น พร้อมทั้งมีการสอบวัดระดับภาษาอังกฤษทุกๆปี ถ้าเราสามารถที่จะสื่อสารหรือพูดคุยกับชาวต่างชาติได้ เราก็จะสามารถที่เผยแผ่ความเป็นไทยให้ทั่วโลกได้รับรู้ เพราะประเพณีและวัฒนธรรมไทยเป็นของที่บ่งบอกถึงความเป็นไทย ภาษาอังกฤษเปรียบเสมือนกุญแจดอกสำคัญเพื่อนที่จะได้รับโอกาสหรือความรู้ใหม่ๆเพิ่มขึ้น แต่ปัจจุบันกลับให้ความสำคัญทางด้านการพูดภาษาที่ 2 ลดลง ทำให้เด็กรุ่นหลังไม่กล้าที่จะพูด หรือไม่กล้าที่จะใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ และเมื่อเขา AEC แล้ว จะเกิดปัญหาและมีผลกระทบตามาอีกมากมาย

วัตุถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย
เพื่อให้นักศึกษาทุกคนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของภาษาอังกฤษซึ่งเป็นภาษาที่มีคนใช้มากเป็นที่ 2 ของโลก และเมื่อประเทศไทยกำลังเข้าสู่อาเซียน ภาษาอังกฤษถือว่าเป็นภาษากลางในการสื่อสารของทุกๆประเทศในอาเซียน

ขอบเขตของการวิจัย
ประชากรคือ นักศึกษาจำนวน 30 คน ใน มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเทพสตรี อำเภอ เมือง จังหวัด ลพบุรี
