ความรู้เบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตร
ความหมายของหลักสูตร
ในแวดวงนักศึกษาผู้ให้ความหมายของหลักสูตรไว้มากมาย โดยไม่สามารถทำให้ทุกคนเห็นพ้องกับความหมายใดเพียงความหมายเดียว เพราะหลักสูตรเป็นสิ่งที่เปลี่ยนแปลงได้ตลอดเวลาแต่อาจแบ่งกลุ่มความหมายของหลักสูตรได้เป็น 3 กลุ่ม คือ 1) กลุ่มความหมายที่เน้นถึงเนื้อหาสาระที่จะต้องเรียนรู้ 2) กลุ่มความหมายที่เน้นความหมายสำคัญของจุดหมายที่ต้องการให้เกิดกับผู้เรียน และ 3) กลุ่มความหมายที่เน้นกระบวนการที่จะพัฒนาผู้เรียน
กาญจนา คุณารักษ์(2535 : 1-4) ได้รวบรวมความหมายหลักสูตรไว้ดังนี้
1. หลักสูตร คือ รายวิชาหรือรายการเนื้อหาที่สอนโรงเรียน
2. หลักสูตร คือ ประสบการณ์ที่จัดให้แก่ผู้เรียน
3. หลักสูตร คือ กิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนและวัสดุอุปกรณ์
4. หลักสูตร คือ สิ่งที่โรงเรียน ผู้ปกครอง คาดหมายหรือมุ่งหวังจะให้ผู้เรียนได้รับหรือมีคุณสมบัติในสิ่งนั้นๆ
5. หลักสูตร คือ พาหนะที่จะนำผู้เรียนไปสู่ความสำเร็จตามเป้าหมายของการศึกษา
6. หลักสูตร คือ สิ่งแวดล้อมต่าง ๆ ทางการเรียน และสิ่งแวดล้อมในโรงเรียน
7. หลักสูตร คือ กระบวนการปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างครู นักเรียน และสิ่งแวดล้อมการเรียน
8. หลักสูตร คือ แผนหรือแนวทาง หรือข้อกำหนดในการจัดการศึกษาของโรงเรียน
9. หลักสูตร คือ เอกสาร หนังสือหลักสูตร และเอกสารประกอบหลักสูตรใด ๆ เช่น แผนการสอน คู่มือครู แบบเรียน เป็นต้น
10.หลักสูตร คือ วิชาความรู้สาขาหนึ่งที่ว่าด้วยทฤษฎี หลักการ และแนวปฏิบัติในการพัฒนาหลักสูตร
วิชัย วงษ์ใหญ่ (2537 : 12) ได้ให้แนวคิดว่า หลักสูตร คือ มวลประสอบการณ์ทั้งปวงที่จัดให้ผู้เรียนเกิดการเรียนรู้ครบถ้วนตามมาตราฐานคุณภาพสากล มาตรฐานความเป็นชาติไทยและมาตรฐานที่ชุมชนท้องถิ่นต้องการ



สงัด อุทรานันท์ (2538 : 6) กล่าว หลักสูตร หมายถึง ลักษณะใดลักษณะหนึ่งต่อไปนี้
1. หลักสูตร คือ สิ่งที่สร้างขึ้นในลักษณะของรายวิชา ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยเนื้อสาระที่จัดเรียงลำดับความยากง่าย หรือเป็นขั้นตอนอย่างดีแล้ว
2. หลักสูตร ประกอบด้วยประสบการณ์ทางเรียนซึ่งได้วางแผนล่วงหน้าเพื่อมุ่งหวังจะให้เด็กได้เปลี่ยนแปลงพฤติกรรมในทางที่ต้องการ
3.หลักสูตร เป็นสิ่งที่สังคมสร้างขึ้นสำหรับให้ประสบการณ์ทางการศึกษาแก่เด็กในโรงเรียน
4. หลักสูตร ประกอบด้วยมวลประสบการณ์ทั้งหมดของผู้เรียน ซึ่งเขาได้ทำได้รับรู้ และได้ตอบสนองต่อการแนะแนวของโรงเรียน
ใจทิพย์ เชื้อรัตนพงษ์ (2539 : 9) ให้ความหมายหลักสูตรว่า คือ SOPEA ประกอบด้วย
S คือ Subject matter ได้แก่ เนื้อหาที่ใช้ในการเรียนการสอน
O คือ Object ไก้แก่ วัตถุประสงค์
P คือ plans ได้แก่ แผนสำหรับจัดโอกาสการเรียนรู้หรือประสอบการณ์แก่นักเรียนที่คาดหวัง
E คือ learner’s experience ได้แก่ ประสบการณ์ทั้งปวงของผู้เรียนมาจัดโดยโรงเรียน
A คือ education activities ได้แก่ กิจกรรมทาวการศึกษาที่จัดให้กับผู้เรียน
ชมพันธุ์ กุญชน ณ อยุธยา (2540 :3-5) ได้อธิบายความหมายของ “หลักสูตร” ว่ามีความแตกต่างกันไปตั้งแต่ความหมายที่แคบสุดจนจนถึงกว้างสุด แต่จำแนกความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษาที่ได้ให้นิยามความหมายของหลักสูตร ออกเป็น 2 ใหญ่ ๆ ดังนี้
1. หลักสูตร หมายถึง แผนประสบการณ์การเรียน นักการศึกษาที่มีความคิดเห็นว่าหลักสูตร หมายถึง แผนประสบการณ์การเรียนนั้น มองหลักสูตรในลักษณะที่เป็นเอกสาร หรือโครงการการศึกษาที่สถาบันการศึกษาได้วางแผนไว้ เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนได้ศึกษาตามแผนหรือโครงการที่กำหนดไว้ หลักสูตรตามความหมายนี้หมายถึงรวมถึง แผนการเรียนหรือรายวิชาต่าง ๆ ที่กำหนดให้เรียนรวมทั้งเนื้อหาวิชาของรายวิชาต่าง ๆ กิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนและการประเมินผล ซึ่งได้กำหนดไว้ในแผน ความคิดเห็นของนักศึกษากลุ่มนี้ไม่รวมถึงการนำหลักสูตรไปใช้หรือการเรียนการสอนที่ปฏิบัติจริง แต่ทั้งแผนประสบการณ์การเรียนกับการสอนที่ปฏิบัติจริงมีความสัมพันธ์กันอย่างใกล้ชิด
2. หลักสูตร หมายถึง ประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ของผู้เรียนที่สถาบันการศึกษาจัดให้ซึ่งหมายรวมถึงประสบการณ์การเรียนและการนำหลักสูตรไปใช้ด้วย แนวคิดนี้สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดของทั้งทาบาและไทเลอร์ที่เห็นว่า หลักสูตรประกอบด้วยจุดมุ่งหมายประสอบการณ์ทางการศึกษาหรือเนื้อหาการจัดประสบการณ์ทางการศึกษาหรือจัดการเนื้อหาและกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนและการประเมินผล
ธำรง บัวศรี (2542 : 7) กล่าวว่า หลักสูตร คือ แผนซึ่งได้ออกแบบจัดทำขึ้นเพื่อแสดงจุดมุ่งหมายการจัดเนื้อหาสาระกิจกรรมและมวลประสบการณ์ในแต่ละโปรแกรมการศึกษา เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนมีพัฒนาการในด้านต่าง ๆ ตามจุดหมายที่ได้กำหนดไว้
มาเรียม นิลพันธุ์ (2543 : 6) กล่าวว่า หลักสูตร หมายถึง เอกสารข้อกำหนดเกี่ยวกับมวลประสบการณ์ เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนมีพัฒนาไปในแนวทางที่ต้องการ ทั้งนี้ นักการศึกษาและนักพัฒนาหลักสูตรประเทศ ได้ให้ความหมายและคำจำกัดความของหลักสูตรไว้ โดยสรุปดังนี้
คาสเวลและแคมเบล (Caswell and Cambell 1935 : 66) ได้ให้จำกัดความว่าหลักสูตรเป็นสิ่งที่ประกอบด้วยประสบการณ์ทั้งมวลของเด็ก ภายใต้การแนะแนวของครู
ไทเลอร์ (Tyler. 1949 : 79) ได้สรุปว่าหลักสูตรเป็นสิ่งที่เด็กจะต้องเรียนรู้ทั้งหมด โดยมีโรงเรียนเป็นผู้วางแผนและกำกับเพื่อให้บรรลุถึงจุดหมายของการศึกษา
ทาบา (Taba. 1962 : 11) ให้คำสรุปเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตรอย่างสั้น ๆ ว่าหลักสูตรเป็นแผนการเกี่ยวกับการเรียนรู้
กู๊ด (Good. 1973 : 157) ได้ให้ความหมายของหลักสูตรไว้ 3 ประการ ดังนี้ คือ
1. หลักสูตร หมายถึง เนื้อหาวิชาที่จัดไว้เป็นระบบให้ผู้เรียนได้ศึกษา เพื่อสำเร็จหรือรับประกาศนียบัตรในสาขาวิชาหนึ่ง
2. หลักสูตร หมายถึง เค้าโครงสร้างทั่วไปของเนื้อหาหรือสิ่งเฉพาะที่จะต้องสอน ซึ่งโรงเรียนจัดให้แก่เด็กเพื่อให้สำเร็จการศึกษาและสามารถเข้าศึกษาต่อในทางอาชีพต่อไป
3. หลักสูตร หมายถึง กลุ่มวิชาและการจัดประสบการณ์ที่กำหนดไว้ให้ผู้เรียนได้เรียนภายใต้การแนะนำของโรงเรียนและสถานศึกษา
โอลิวา (Oliva. 1992 : 8-9) ได้ให้นิยามความหมายของหลักสูตรโดยแบ่งเป็นการให้นิยามโดยยึดจุดประสงค์ บริบทหรือสภาพแวดล้อม และวิธีดำเนินการหรือยุทธศาสตร์ ดังนี้
1.การให้นิยามโดยยึดจุดประสงค์ (Purpose) หลักสูตรจึงมีภาระหน้าทีที่จะทำให้ผู้เรียนควรจะเป็นอย่างไร หรือมีลักษณะอย่างไร หลักสูตรในแนวคิดนี้จึงมีความหมายในลักษณะที่เป็นวิธีการที่นำไปสู่ความสำเร็จตามจุดประสงค์หรือจุดมุ่งหมายนั้น ๆ เช่น หลักสูตร คือ การถ่ายทอดมรดกทา
