จากการประชุมครั้งแรกได้มีการชี้แจงที่มาของการประชุม PECT ว่าเกิดจากคณะกรรมการ Sustainability ของทาง ISZJ ได้มีการขยายผลการประชุมของทางญี่ปุ่น (PEC) มายังกลุ่มบริษัทอีซูซุในประเทศไทยโดยใช้ชื่อเรียกว่า PECT
