งานวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการการศึกษาเรื่อง การประยุกต์ใช้ ABC Analysis ในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพพื้นที่การจัดวางสินค้าภายในคลังสินค้า กรณีศึกษา ห้างเทสโก้โลตัสเอ็กซ์เพรส สาขาเขาคิชฌกูฏ
มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของพนักงานและเปรียบเทียบเวลาในการหยิบสินค้าก่อน และหลังคณะผู้วิจัยได้ใช้เครื่องมือในการหาสาเหตุและปัญหาโดยการสังเกตและการสอบถามพนักงาน
เพื่อวิเคราะห์ปัญหาและค้นหาแนวทางแก้ไข ในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพพื้นที่การจัดวางสินค้าภายในคลังสินค้า ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่า การจัดสินค้าไม่เป็นหมวดหมู่ จากปัญหาดังกล่าวคณะวิจัยได้ทาการใช้เครื่องมือการจัดการ
ในการแก้ไขปัญหาดังนี้ การใช้ทฤษฎี ABC Analysis ทำให้สินค้าในคลังสินค้ามีการจัดเรียงหมวดหมู่ตามประเภท และเปรียบเทียบเวลาในการหยิบสินค้าก่อน และหลังการประยุกต์ใช้ ABC Analysis
โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษา คือ สินค้า 6 ประเภท จำนวน253รายการ
จากการศึกษาพบว่าระยะเวลาเฉลี่ยในการหยิบสินค้าก่อนการปรับปรุงเท่ากับ 55.76 วินาที และระยะเวลาเฉลี่ยในการหยิบสินค้าหลังการปรับปรุงเท่ากับ 49.08 วินาที
ระยะเวลาในการหยิบสินค้าเฉลี่ยลดลงจากเดิม 6.68 วินาทีต่อครั้ง สรุปได้ว่า ทฤษฎี ABC Analysis สามารถช่วยลดระยะเวลาในการค้นหาสินค้า ทำงานอย่างเป็นระบบมากขึ้น
และยังส่งผลให้เกิดความสะดวกและความรวดเร็วในการให้บริการมากขึ้น และจากการจัดทำออกแบบแผนผังใหม่ใน Back stock เพื่อแสดงตำแหน่งบ่งชี้ที่ชัดเจนว่าสินค้าแต่ละชนิดอยู่ ณ บริเวณใด
