งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพและความเป็นพิษต่อพืชของน้ำหมักชีวภาพ โดยจัดทำน้ำหมักชีวภาพจากขยะมะเขือม่วงและขยะขิง ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยได้แบ่งการทดลองออกเป็น 6 ทรีตเมนต์ โดยใช้ขยะมะเขือม่วงและขยะขิงในอัตราส่วนที่แตกต่างกัน คือ (100:0), (50:50), (60:40), (70:30), (80:20), (90:10) หมักเป็นระยะเวลา 7 บันทึกผลลักษณะคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพ ค่าความเป็นกรด-ด่าง ทดสอบความเป็นพิษต่อพืช โดยใช้ความเข้มข้น 4 ระดับ คือ 1 ppm, 2 ppm, 2.5 ppm และไม่ใส่น้ำหมักชีวภาพ เพื่อใช้ในการฉีดพ้นผักกาดขาวทุก 3, 5 และ 7 วัน ทำการบันทึกผลความผิดปกติ, ความสูง และหลังจากผักกาดขาวมีอายุ 20 วันนำมาชั่งน้ำหนักสด
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า น้ำหมักชีวภาพจากมะเขือม่วงและขยะขิง สามารถนำมาใช้ได้จริงกับพืชจากคุณสมบัติทางกายภาพและผลการทดสอบความเป็นพิษต่อพืช เมื่อใช้อัตราส่วนขยะมะเขือม่วงและขยะขิง เท่ากับ 50:50 จะทำให้พืชมีน้ำหนักสดมากที่สุดเมื่อเทียบกับอัตราส่วนอื่น ทั้งนี้ควรมีการวิเคราะห์ธาตุอาหารในปุ๋ยน้ำหมักชีวภาพร่วมด้วยเพื่อการนำไปใช้ให้ตรงกับความต้องการของพืช
