โครงงานการศึกษานี้เป็นการศึกษาลักษณะรอยแผลของโรคกลาก ศึกษาเพื่อนำไปใช้ในการออกแบบรอยแผลในรูปแบบสามมิติ ( 3D ) เพื่อความเสมือนจริงและนำไปพัฒนาเป็นภาพยนต์แอนิเมชั่นสามมิติ ทางผู้วิจัยได้เล็งเห็นถึงปัญหาของโรคผิวหนังที่เกิดจากการไม่รักษาสุขอนามัยของชนกลุ่มน้อย
“ ชาวปกาเกอะญอ” ทางคณะผู้วิจัยได้ไปสำรวจแล้วว่าสื่อในพื้นที่นั้น ยังมีไม่เพียงพอ และเนื้อหาของสื่อยากต่อการเข้าใจต่อคนในพื้นที่ จึงได้วิจัยและศึกษาเพื่อผลิตงานสื่อเชิงการสอน ในรูปแบบภาพยนต์แอนิเมชั่นเพราะกลุ่มเป้าหมายมีความสนใจเรื่องของสื่อลักษณะภาพเคลื่อนไหว โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ของโครงงานคือ 1) สำรวจความเป็นอยู่และวิถีชีวิตของชาวปกาเกอะญอในพื้นที่ 2) ศึกษาข้อมูลของโรคกลาก และศึกษาลักษณะรอยแผลลักษณะต่างๆของโรคกลาก เช่น แผลกลากที่ลำตัว , มือ และใบหน้า 3) ศึกษาการเคลื่อนไหวของหนอนนิ้ว เพื่อนำไปใช้ในการใส่การขยายตัวของรอยแผล 4) ทดลองสร้างงานออกแบบเบื้องต้น 5) นำผลงานออกแบบเบื้องต้นให้ทางผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเทคนิคประเมินโดยมีทางด้าน โมเดล ( Model) ด้านพื้นผิว (Texture) ด้านการประมวลผลภาพ (SLR) 6) เมื่อทางคณะผู้วิจัยได้ข้อมูลทั้งหมดแล้วได้รวบรวมข้อมูลทั้งหมด และทำการทดลองสร้างงานออกแบบเบื้องต้นไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้าน โมเดล (Model) และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านพื้นผิว (Texture) ตรวจสอบและขอคำแนะนำมาเพื่อปรับปรุงแก้ไขพัฒนางานต่อไป 7) นำผลงานที่ได้ผ่านการประเมินจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญแล้ว ไปทดสอบกับกลุ่มเป้าหมายจริง และสรุปผล
