5 เหตุผลที่ควรไปงานแห่เทียนพรรษา จ.อุบลฯ

1. หนึ่งปีมีครั้งเดียว
ประเพณีงานแห่เทียนพรรษาของจังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ถือเป็นงานบุญที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของจังหวัด ซึ่งจะจัดอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ ในทุกๆปี มีการแกะสลักเทียนพรรษาในเรื่องราวของพระพุทธศาสนา กว่า 300 ขบวน ของทุกๆปี สำหรับปีนี้ตรงกับ วันที่ 19-20 กรกฎาคม 2559

2. ชมต้นเทียนที่ยาวที่สุดในโลก กว่า 40 เมตร
ชมต้นเทียนพรรษาที่ยาวที่สุดในโลกกว่า 40 เมตร โดยเล่าเรื่องราวทางพุทธศาสนา คือ ประสูติ ตรัสรู้ ปฐมเทศนา และปรินิพพาน แสดงขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 1 – 20 กรกฎาคม 2559 ณ บริเวณสนามทุ่งศรีเมือง

3.ชมประติมากรรมเทียนหอม 1 เดียวในโลก
ชมสรวงสวรรค์เทียนหอมสีขาวประติมากรรมเทียนหอมหนึ่งเดียวในโลก ภายใต้แนวคิด “ดินแดนสรวงสวรรค์” ที่ได้นำเสนอความงดงามอลังการของเขาพระสุเมรุที่สูงกว่า 4 เมตร วันที่ 14-21 กรกฎาคม 2559 ณ เซ็นทรัลพลาซา อุบลราชธานี

4. กิจกรรมชุมชนคนทำเทียน
เป็นกิจกรรมเพื่ออนุรักษ์สืบสานวัฒนธรรมประเพณีท้องถิ่น และเพื่อให้นักเรียนนักศึกษาประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวได้สัมผัสกับการทำเทียนจากช่างและมีส่วนร่วมในการการตกแต่งต้นเทียนพรรษา ซึ่งมีชุมชนเข้าร่วม 10 ชุมชน ได้แก่ ชุมชนวัดผาสุกการาม อำเภอวารินชำราบ ชุมชนวัดศรีประดู่ ชุมชนวัดบูรพา ชุมชนวัดพลแพน ชุมชนวัดไชยมงคล ชุมชนวัดแจ้ง ชุมชนวัดมหาวนาราม ชุมชนวัดศรีอุบลรัตนาราม ชุมชนวัดทุ่งศรีเมือง และชุมชนวัดพระธาตุหนองบัว โดยจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 1-19 กรกฎาคม 2559

5.ประติมากรรมเทียนนานาชาติ ครั้งที่ 10
เป็นการแกะสลักเทียนนานาชาติ โดยศิลปินชาวต่างชาติประมาน 8 -10 ประเทศ ภายใต้แนวคิด “Her Story” ในรูปแบบ Candle of Music ผ่านเสียงดนตรีที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ในมิติแปลกใหม่ บริเวณพิพิธภัณฑ์สถานแห่งชาติ อุบลราชธานี ระหว่างวันที่ 15-20 กรกฎาคม 2559
