โมเดล Gundam ที่ทาง Bandai ผลิตออกมาจะมีการแบ่งเกรดตาม คุณภาพ รายละเอียด การแยกสี และความสมจริงของตัวโมเดล โดยมีการแบ่งเกรดที่เป็นมาตรฐานดังนี้

High Grade (HG)
ในปัจจุบันเกรด HG จะผลิตในอัตราส่วน 1/144 ซึ่งมีขนาดเล็ก มีการแยกสีและจุดขยับต่างๆมาดีในระดับหนึ่ง อาจจะมีจุดที่ต้องทำสีหรือติดสติกเกอร์เพื่อให้สีตรงกับของจริง มีความรายละเอียดสวยงามใกล้เคียงกับใน Anime ราคาไม่แพงมาก(ราวๆ หลักหลายร้อยบาท)
Master Grade (MG)
เป็นโมเดล Gundam ที่ผลิตในอัตราส่วน 1/100 มีการแยกสีมาดีมากๆ โดยเฉพาะรุ่นใหม่ๆ อาจจะไม่ต้องทำสีหรือติดสติกเอร์ก็ได้สีตรงกับของจริง แทบไม่มีชิ้นส่วนประกบคู่ให้เห็นรอยต่อ มีจุดขยับที่ดีกว่า HG มากบางตัวสามารถคุกเข่าหรือกอดอกได้เลยทีเดียว มีรายละเอียดสูงมักจะมีการออกแบบเพิ่ม Detail เข้าไปใหม่ โดยมีรายละเอียดลึกถึงในระดับโครงใน(Inner Frame) ของตัวหุ่น ราคาแพงในระดับหนึ่ง (ขึ้นหลักพันต้นๆเป็นอย่างน้อย)
Perfect Grade (PG)
เป็นโมเดล Gundam ที่ผลิตในอัตราส่วน 1/60 การแยกสี จุดขยับ เหนือกว่า MG มากเช่นส่วนมือจะสามารถขยับข้อนิ้วได้ทุกข้อ และแน่นอนว่ามีส่วนโครงในที่มีรายละเอียด ความสวยงามและความซับซ้อนสูงกว่า MG อีกเช่นกัน มีระบบไฟตามจุดต่างๆเช่นที่ตา โดย PG นั้นจะมีให้เลือกน้อยเพราะจะผลิตเฉพาะตัวที่เด่นๆดังๆ เท่านั้น ราคาแพงที่สุดในทุกๆเกรด (ราวๆ ครึ่งหมื่นหรือมากกว่า)
