พล.ต.ต.ชัชวาลย์ วชิรปาณีกูล ผบก.สท. เปิดเผยว่า สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ จะดำเนินการรับสมัครและคัดเลือกบุคคลภายนอกผู้มีวุฒิประกาศนียบัตรประโยคมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย หรือประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ (ปวช.) หรืเทียบเท่า เพื่อบรรจุเป็นนักเรียนนายสิบตำรวจ (นสต.) ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2559 จำนวน 5,000 อัตรา ในสังกัดกองบัญชาการตำรวจนครบาล, ตำรวจภูธรภาค 1-9, ตำรวจตระเวนชายแดน และศูนย์ปฏิบัติการตำรวจจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ โดยกำหนดรับสมัครทางอินเตอร์เน็ตผ่านเว็บไซต์  www.policeadmission.org  ตั้งแต่วันที่ 11-25 สิงหาคม 58
