วัดชมโพธยาราม

วัดชมโพธยาราม เป็นวัดแห่งเดียวในจังหวัดฉะเชิงเทราที่ก่อสร้างสังเวชนียสถาน ให้พุทธศาสนิกชนได้นมัสการครบทั้ง 4 ตำบล ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องที่น่ายินดี ทำให้ประชาชนไม่ต้องไปกราบไหว้ไกลถึงต่างประเทศ แค่มาที่วัดชมโพธยารามแห่งเดียวก็สามารถกราบไหว้ได้ครบ

สังเวชนียสถาน คือ สถานที่อันเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งความสังเวช โดยเมื่อดูแล้วทำให้จิตหันมาคิดถึงสิ่งที่ดีงาม เกิดความไม่ประมาท และเพียรพยายามทำสิ่งที่ดีงาม โดยมี 4 แห่งคือ

• สถานที่พระพุทธเจ้าประสูติ
สถานที่แห่งนี้เป็นอุทยาน เรียกว่า ลุมพินี ปัจจุบันอยู่ในประเทศเนปาล บริเวณที่ประสูติดังกล่าวในพื้นที่จริงๆ จะมีวิหารเรียกว่า วิหารมายาเทวี (พุทธมารดา) ในวิหารมีรูปสลักหินเป็นภาพพระนางสิริมหามายา กำลังยืนเหนี่ยวกิ่งต้นสาละประสูติเจ้าชายสิทธัตถะ ด้านหลังมีเสาสลักหินศิลาที่พระเจ้าอโศกมหาราช สร้างไว้เพื่อแสดงว่าเป็นที่ประสูติของพระพุทธองค์ ส่วนที่วัดชมโพธยาราม จะใช้ปูนหล่อจำลองลักษณะดังกล่าวเช่นกัน ในการแสดงพุทธประวัติขณะประสูติ



• พุทธคยาเจดีย์ตรัสรู้ เป็นเจดีย์สีเหลืองทอง สามารถมองเห็นได้แต่ไกล ด้านในบรรจุพระพุทธรูปที่สำคัญๆไว้มากมาย เพื่อให้ประชาชนได้สักการะบูชา และยังมีรูปวาดฝาผนังเกี่ยวกับสถานที่สำคัญต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพระพุทธเจ้าให้เลือกชมอีกมาก

ประวัติวัดชมโพธยาราม
วัดแห่งนี้ก่อตั้งเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2523 โดย พระครูปลัดสุโพธิ์ จันทาโภ เป็นผู้ก่อตั้งบนพื้นที่ดินที่ได้รับการถวายจาก 2 สามีภรรยา คือ นายชม และนางเยี่ยม ทองคำเปลว จำนวน 12 ไร่เศษ เริ่มแรกเดิมทีเป็นแค่สำนักสงฆ์ในชื่อของ"สำนักสงฆ์ชมพุทธคยานุสรณ์" หลังจากนั้นก็ได้มีการก่อสร้างกุฏิ, ศาลาการเปรียญ, พระอุโบสถ พร้อมสังเวชนียสถานที่จำลองแบบมาจากของจริงทั้งหมด โดยก่อสร้างแล้วเสร็จในปี 2544 ซึ่งต่อมาก็ได้ยกลำดับเป็นวัด ซึ่งรู้จักกันดีในชื่อของ "วัดชมโพธยาราม
