การศึกษาในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาถึงปัจจัยเหตุที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมนักศึกษาในแต่ละด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านวิชาการ ด้านกีฬาและนันทนาการ ด้านทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม และด้านบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ 2) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจในการจัดกิจกรรมนักศึกษา ด้วยวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและกำหนดขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยใช้สูตรของ Taro Yamane จะได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างเท่ากับ 370 คน โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจะใช้เป็นแบบสอบถามกับนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีของคณะวิทยาการจัดการ,มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนสุนันทา ใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติต่าง ๆ คือ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลในการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในแต่ละด้านมีความแตกต่างกันออกไป ได้แก่
1. ด้านวิชาการ : การเพิ่มพูนความรู้
2. ด้านกีฬาและนันทนาการ : กีฬาที่เข้าร่วมมีความน่าสนใจ
3. ด้านทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม : มีโอกาสได้สัมผัสกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมด้วยการปฏิบัติจริง
4. ด้านบำเพ็ญประโยชน์ : การให้โอกาสกับผู้ที่ขาดแคลน
