การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพในการป้องกันพฤติกรรมเสี่ยงต่อการติดเชื้อเอชไอวีของนักศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐจังหวัดพิษณุโลก การวิจัยครั้งนี้ศึกษาจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐทั้งหมด 3 มหาวิทยาลัยจำนวน31,468 คน ซึ่งกำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างโดยใช้สูตรของ Yamane ได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่เหมาะสมจาก มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏพิบูลสงคราม และ มหาวิทยาลัยราชมงคลล้านนาวิทยาเขตพิษณุโลก จำนวน 395 คน โดยสุ่มจากประชากร แต่ละมหาวิทยาลัยได้ ดังนี้มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร 232 คน มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏพิบูลสงคราม147 คน มหาวิทยาลัยราชมงคลล้านนาวิทยาเขตพิษณุโลก 16 คน ผู้วิจัยเก็บข้อมูลด้วยตนเองในระหว่างเดือนมีนาคมถึงเดือนเมษายน 2559 ซึ่งเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถาม จำนวน 25 ข้อ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่าสหสัมพันธ์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐในจังหวัดพิษณุโลก มีการรับรู้ข้อมูลแบบแผนความเชื่อด้านสุขภาพโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (x ̅ = 4.36 , S.D. = .348)
