การศึกษาครั้งนี้นำแบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการทำการวิจัย ห้องสมุดถือว่าเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ศึกษาค้นคว้าที่สำคัญภายในมหาวิทยาลัย โดยวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษานั้น เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมความพึงพอใจของนักศึกษาที่มีต่อการเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดของมหาวิทยาลัย โดยเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือแบบสอบถาม ซึ่งแบบสอบถาม แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วน คือ 1.ข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล 2.พฤติกรรมการใช้ห้องสมุด -3.ความพึงพอใจในการเข้าใช้ห้องสมุด และ 4.ข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับห้องสมุด ตามลำดับ สอบถามจากนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏวไลยอลงกรณ์ จำนวน 100 คน โดยวิธีการวิจัยผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยวิธีการหาค่าถัวเฉลี่ยเพื่อคำนวณหาค่าสถิตต่างๆ ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ
ผลการศึกษาปรากฏว่า ด้านพฤติกรรมการใช้ห้องสมุด นักศึกษาเข้าใช้บริการห้องสมุด 1-2ครั้งต่อสัปดาห์ นักศึกษามีความ ส่วนระดับความพึงพอใจในการเข้าใช้ห้องสมุดในด้านด้านทรัพยากาสารสนเทศ(หนังสือ,วารสาร,โสตทัศน์) ด้านงานบริการ ด้านผู้ให้บริการ ด้านสถานที่และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก อยู่ในระดับมากและปานกลางตามลำดับ นักศึกษามหาได้ให้ข้อเสนอแนะในการปรับปรุงห้องสมุดไว้ ดังนี้ ด้านทรัพยากรสารสนเทศ ต้องการให้มีการเพิ่มเติมหนังสือ,วารสาร, รวมถึงสารคดีเรื่องใหม่ๆอย่างสม่ำเสอม,ต้องการให้ป้ายป้ายติดกำกับว่าหนังสือหมายเลขนี้อยู่ที่ตึกไหนหมวดไหนในชัดเจนเพื่อความรวดเร็วในการค้นหาหนังสือ ด้านการงานให้บริการ ต้องการให้เพิ่มจำนวนในการยืม-คืนหนังสือวิจัยต่อครั้งเพราะปกติจะยืมได้พียง 2 เล่มต่อครั้งเท่านั้น ด้านสถานที่และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก มีความต้องการให้เพิ่มเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ในการสืบค้น,เพิ่มมุมสำหรับการใช้งานอินเตอร์เน็ต,ต้องการให้มีการปรับปรุงห้องน้ำในห้องสมุดเพราะปัจจุบันห้องน้ำมีความชำรุดทรุดโทรมเป็นอย่างมาก,ต้องการให้มีการลดอุณหภูมิในห้องสมุด,เพิ่มแสงสว่างภายในห้องสมุดให้มากขึ้น
เพราะฉะนั้นการปรับปรุงพัฒนาห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยให้ตอบสนองความต้องการการใช้บริการของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยจะส่งผลดีมากยิ่งขึ้น ดั้งนี้ ห้องสมุดควรมีการประชาสัมพันธ์ด้านต่างๆของห้องสมุด ห้องสมุดควรมีการจัดสรรงบประมาณในการ พัฒนาห้องสมุดให้มีวัสดุอุปกรณ์ที่ทันสมัยเพิ่มมากขึ้น บุคลากรที่ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ให้ห้องสมุด ควรมีการอบรมฝึกฝนให้เกิดความชำนาจ เพื่อความรวดเร็วความแม่นยำในการให้บริการ ห้องสมุดควรขยายระยะเวลาในการให้บริการเพิ่มเติม เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาได้ใช้บริการห้องสมุดอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เนื่องจากนักศึกษาอาจมีเวลาจำกัดในการเข้าใช้บริการห้องสมุด
