อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาหลัก-ลำรู่


   

ที่ตั้ง  อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาหลักนี้ตั้งอยู่ทางด้านของฝั่งทะเลอันดามัน มีเส้นทางหมายเลข 4 (ถนนเพชรเกษม) ตัดเลียบยาวจากชายหาดมาตั้งแต่บริเวณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 22 ในเขตตำบลบางม่วงจนถึงที่ทำการของอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาหลัก และยังหาที่ทำการอุทยานได้อย่างไม่ต้องยุ่งยาก โดยจะสังเกตได้ง่าย ๆ คือที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาหลักนี้จะอยู่ตรงข้ามกับศาลเจ้าพ่อเขาหลัก ในบริเวณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 56 ในเส้นทางตะกั่วป่า-ท้ายเหมือง โดยที่อุทยานแห่งชาตินี้มีพื้นที่ที่ครอบคลุมทั้ง อำเภอเมือง อำเภอกะปง อำเภอท้ายเหมือง และอำเภอตะกั่วป่าอีกด้วย บริเวณด้านที่ทำการอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาหลักจะมีชายหาดที่ใกล้ ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น หาดเขาหลักซึ่งอยู่ทางด้านทิศใต้เขาอุทยานฯ หาดนางทองซึ่งอยู่ทางด้านทิศเหนือของอุทยานฯ และถัดขึ้นไปจากหาดนางทองยังมี หาดบางเนียง หาดคึกคัก แหลมปะการัง หาดปากวีบ และหาดบางสัก ตามลำดับ หาดดังกล่าวเหล่านี้มีลักษณะของชายหาดทรายยาวต่อเนื่องกัน นับสิบกิโลเมตร คั่นระหว่างกันด้วยคลองน้ำจืด ธรรมชาติ แหลมและโขดหิน หาดดังกล่าวเกือบทั้งหมดสามารถเดินถึงกันได้จนดูเหมือนเป็นหาดเดียวกัน ส่วนชื่อหาดที่อาจจะเรียกต่างกันบ้างก็อาจจะเกิดจากความเข้าใจผิดจากชื่อหมู่บ้านที่ตั้งอยู่บนหาดนั้น ๆ  สภาพอากาศของหาดต่าง ๆ มีสภาพอากาศที่บริสุทธิ์เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อน บรรยายกาศเงียบสงบมีทิวทิศน์ที่สวยงาม และยังมีจุดชมวิวพระอาทิตย์ตกที่สวยงามซึ่งอยู่ทางทิศใต้ของอุทยาน ฯ มีภูเขาเล็ก ๆ  ป่าไม้ที่สมบูรณ์ร่มรื่น พร้อมทั้งยังมีเส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติระยะทางเพียง 1.5 กิโลเมตร โดยในเส้นทางจะมีป้ายบอกทางตลอด
