การรับซื้อน้ำยางเป็นธุรกิจหนึ่งที่มีต้นทุนการขนส่งเป็นหลัก ไม่ว่าจะเป็นผู้รับซื้อหรือผู้นำน้ำยางมาจำหน่ายก็ตาม ดังนั้นถ้าหากผู้รับซื้อน้ำยางมีการวางแผนการรับซื้อที่มีรูปแบบชัดเจน จะทำให้ลูกค้าเกิดความพึงพอใจในการบริการมากขึ้น บทความวิจัยนี้ศึกษาแนวทางในการแก้ปัญหาการจัดเส้นทางยานพาหนะของบริษัทรัตภูมิยางสด ในการรับซื้อน้ำยางสดจากเกษตรกรชาวสวนยางหรือผู้รวบรวมรายย่อย โดยมีผู้ขายน้ำยางสดทั้งหมดจำนวน17ราย โดยประยุกต์ใช้แบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์ ทำการประมวลผลด้วยโปรแกรม LINGOมีวัตุประสงค์เพื่อลดต้นทุนและระยะทางในการขนส่งน้ำยางสด โดยมีขั้นตอนของการวิจัยเริ่มจากศึกษาปัญหารวบรวมข้อมูล เขีนแบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์และประมวลผลด้วยโปรแกรมLINGOผลการวิจัยพบว่ามีจำนวนเส้นทางในการขนส่งเท่ากับ6เส้นทาง (6เที่ยว)โดยมีระยะทางรวมเท่ากับ66.15 กิโลเมตร คิดเป็นต้นทุนการขนส่งเท่ากับ 264.45บาท/วัน หรือเท่ากับ7,938บาท/เดือน เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการขนส่งแบบเดิมจะมีระยะทางลดลงเท่ากับ 153.60 กิโลเมตร คิดเป็นร้อยละ30.10 ซึ่งสามารถนำไปพิจารณาในการตัดสินใจการขนส่งน้ำยางสดในอนาคตได้
