บทนำ
แนวคิดที่มาในการทำโครงการ
สภาพเศรษฐกิจโลกในปัจจุบันส่งผลกระทบให้ประเทศที่กำลังพัฒนาหลายๆประเทศเกิดภาวะวิกฤตด้านเศรษฐกิจตามไปด้วย โดยเฉพาะประเทศไทย ที่ต้องเผชิญหน้ากับภาวะเศรษฐกิจตกต่ำเพราะว่าโครงสร้างเศรษฐกิจไทยเดินตามแนวทุนนิยมตะวันตกที่เน้นการส่งออกและส่งเข้ามากเกินไป ทำให้ประชาชนในประเทศเกิดความขัดสนเกิดความยากจนไม่มีงานทำให้ขาดรายได้ประสบภัยราคาสินค้าของใช้เพิ่มสูงขึ้นอีกเท่าตัว รัฐบาลจึงได้มีนโยบายให้ประชาชนมีรายได้เลี้ยงชีพตัวเองโดยยึดหลักตามแนวคิดหลักปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวมาเป็นแนวทางในการดำเนินการใช้ชีวิตการกินอยู่อย่างพอเพียง โดยคำนึงถึงความพอประมาณ ความพอดีที่ไม่น้อยเกินไปและไม่มากเกินไปมาประยุกต์ใช้กับการดำรงชีวิตหรือสร้างรายได้เสริมให้กับครอบครัวได้เป็นอย่างดี เช่น การนำวัสดุประเภทผ้าจากการเหลือใช้มาทำให้เกิดประโยชน์

ดังนั้นจึงทำให้ คณะผู้จัดทำโครงการซึ่งกำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับชั้นประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นสูง สาขาการโรงแรมและบริการ มีแนวคิดสนใจที่จะประดิษฐ์ชั้นวางหนังสือจากเศษผ้าที่เหลือใช้จากการใช้ประโยชน์มาประดิษฐ์ให้มีรูปแบบที่แปลกใหม่ สามารถนำไปเป็นของตกแต่งภายในโรงแรมและมีความสนใจที่จะนำความรู้ที่ได้จากการเรียนไปพัฒนาให้เกิดเป็นผลงานต่างๆที่สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในชีวิตประจำวันได้ คณะผู้จัดทำโครงการจึงมีแนวคิดในการประดิษฐ์ชั้นวางหนังสือจากเศษผ้าเหลือใช้ที่ได้กล่าวไว้ข้างต้น โดยการนำมาดัดแปลงจากเศษผ้าที่เหลือใช้มาทำเป็นชั้นวางหนังสือที่มีเอกลักษณ์โดยเฉพาะใช้เศษผ้าหลากสีสันมาทำให้เกิดประโยชน์โดยทำเป็นชั้นวางหนังสือ ตลอดจนนำมาจัดวางภายในมุมนั่งเล่นของโรงแรมเพื่อให้ผู้ใช้บริการ ที่มาเข้าใช้บริการในโรงแรมได้ผ่อนคลายกับการอ่านหนังสือ อีกทั้งผลิตภัณฑ์ดังกล่าวสามารถนำมาพัฒนาต่อยอดเชิงพาณิชย์เพื่อสร้างรายได้ให้กับตนเอง ครอบครัวและชุมชน
จุดมุ่งหมายในการทำโครงการ
1. เพื่อนำความรู้ไปประยุกต์ให้เกิด ชั้นวางหนังสือจากเศษผ้าเหลือใช้ เป็นสิ่งประดิษฐ์ที่สามารถนำสานต่อภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นในเชิงพาณิชย์ได้
2. เพื่อใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์ที่ก่อให้เกิดรายได้ระหว่างเรียน สร้างรายได้เสริมให้กับครอบครัว และชุมชนในท้องถิ่น
3. เพื่อให้เกิดความสามัคคีภายในกลุ่ม
