ผีตาโขน เป็นขบวนแห่ใส่หน้ากากผีหรือปีศาจ ซึ่งพิธีฉลองจัดขึ้นในวันแรกของพิธีทำบุญ 3 วัน เรียกว่า “บุญพระเวส” เทศกาลประจำปีนี้จะมีขึ้นในเดือน พฤษภาคม มิถุนายน หรือ กรกฎาคม ที่เมืองเล็ก ๆ แห่งหนึ่ง ชื่อด่านซ้าย ในจังหวัดเลยของภาคอีสาน ผู้เข้าร่วมในพิธีนี้จะแต่งกายคล้ายผีและปีศาจใส่หน้ากากขนาดใหญ่ ทำจากต้นมะพร้าวแกะสลักและสวมศรีษะด้วยกระติ๊บข้าวเหนียว ในขบวนแห่จะประกอบไปด้วยการร้องรำทำเพลงอย่างสนุกสนาน
