ในสังคมของมนุษย์นั้นมีสมาชิกจำนวนมากที่มีความแตกต่างกัน ทั้งด้านความคิดเห็นและพฤติกรรมต่างๆ จึงจำเป็นต้องมีกฎระเบียบหรือกติการ่วมกัน เพื่อเป็นบรรทัดฐานสำคัญในการควบคุมความประพฤติของมนุษย์ และช่วยรักษาความสงบเรียบร้อยให้กับสังคม ไม่ให้เกิดความวุ่นวาย กฎหมายมีความสำคัญต่อสังคมในด้านต่างๆ ดังนี้ 1. กฎหมายสร้างความเป็นระเบียบและความสงบเรียบร้อยให้กับสังคมและประเทศชาติ 2. กฎหมายเกี่ยวข้องกับการดำเนินชีวิตของมนุษย์ พลเมืองไทยทุกคนต้องปฏิบัติตนตามข้อบังคับของกฎหมาย ถ้าใครฝ่าฝืนไม่ปฏิบัติตามต้องได้รับโทษ 3. กฎหมายก่อให้เกิดความเป็นธรรมในสังคม คนเราทุกคนย่อมต้องการความ ยุติธรรมด้วยกันทั้งสิ้น การที่จะตัดสินว่าการกระทำใดถูกต้องหรือไม่นั้น ย่อมต้องมีหลักเกณฑ์ ฉะนั้น กฎหมายจึงเป็นกฎเกณฑ์สำคัญที่เป็นหลักของความยุติธรรม 4. กฎหมายเป็นหลักในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชน การกำหนดนโยบายพัฒนาประเทศให้เจริญก้าวหน้าไปในทางใด หรือคุณภาพของพลเมืองเป็นอย่างไร จำเป็นต้องมีกฎหมายออกมาใช้บังคับ เพื่อให้ได้ผลตามเป้าหมายของการพัฒนาที่กำหนดไว้ ผมเองก็อยากทำอาชีพเกี่ยวกับกฎหมายคืออาชีพ ผู้พิพากษา ผมจึงศึกษาข้อมูลต่างๆมากมายเกี่ยวกับอาชีพของกฎหมายนี้ ผมเห็นได้ถึงความสำคัญของกฎหมายที่มีต่อคนในสังคมผู้ที่จะมาทำหน้าที่เกี่ยวกับกฎหมายต้องมีความยุติธรรมและคุณธรรมด้วย


อาชีพต่างๆของคณะนิติศาสตร์
1. ทนายความ : อาชีพทนายความเป็นอาชีพที่มีคนนิยมทำกันมาก เพราะเป็นอาชีพที่ สามารถทำรายได้ดี และเป็นอาชีพที่มีเกียรติ โดยผู้ที่เป็นทนายความสามารถทำงานมีเงินเดือนประจำขึ้นอยู่กับความสามารถประสบการณ์ และประเภทของหน่วยงานที่ทำงาน
2. ที่ปรึกษากฎหมาย : ให้คำปรึกษาด้านกฎหมายแก่หน่วยงาน ห้างร้าน ธุรกิจ ภาครัฐ เอกชน และผู้ประกอบการทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เนื่องด้วยปัจจุบันและอนาคตการมีข้อพิพาทต่าง ๆ ทั้งทางด้านธุรกิจ ด้านกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศจะมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ตลอดจนถึงข้อพิพาทระหว่างเอกชนกับภาครัฐ เอกชนกับเอกชนจะเกิดขึ้นบ่อย
3. อัยการ : มีหน้าที่ดังนี้
3.1 งานอำนวยความยุติธรรมทางอาญา เพื่อตรวจสอบถ่วงดุลและคานอำนาจการใช้ดุลพินิจทั้งของพนักงานสอบสวนและศาลเพื่อให้เป็นไปอย่างถูกต้องชอบธรรม
3.2 งานด้านคดีอาญาระหว่างประเทศ ในกรณีคดีส่งผู้ร้ายข้ามแดน และการร่วมมือกับต่างประเทศในการสอบสวนและอื่นๆ
3.3 งานด้านรักษาผลประโยชน์ของรัฐ ให้คำแนะนำปรึกษาหารือปัญหาข้อกฎหมาย แก่ส่วนราชการและรัฐวิสาหกิจ
3.4 งานด้านคุ้มครองสิทธิและช่วยเหลือทางกฎหมายแก่ประชาชน รับหน้าที่ในคดีที่ราษฎรไม่อาจเป็นโจทก์ฟ้องร้องคดีได้โดยมีกฎหมายห้ามไว้ เมื่อพนักงานอัยการเห็นสมควรก็จะดำเนินคดีแทนให้
3.5 งานตรวจสอบผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งทางการเมืองและข้าราชการระดับสูง4. ผู้พิพากษา : ตรวจคำคู่ความซึ่งยื่นต่อศาลเพื่อสั่งรับหรือไม่รับหรือให้ทำใหม่หรือให้แก้ไขเพิ่มเติมควบคุมการดำเนินกระบวนพิจารณาคดี ออกข้อกำหนดเพื่อรักษาความ เรียบร้อยในบริเวณศาลและเพื่อให้กระบวนพิจารณาดำเนินไปโดยเที่ยงธรรม และ รวดเร็ว ออกหมายเรียก ออกหมายอาญา ออกหมายสั่งให้ส่งคนมาจาก หรือไปยังจังหวัดอื่นหรือออกคำสั่งใด ๆ ไต่สวน และวินิจฉัยชี้ขาดคำร้องหรือคำขอไต่สวนมูลฟ้องในคดีอาญาไต่สวนการชันสูตรพลิกศพ
5. ข้าราชกาลครู : อาชีพที่ ถ่ายทอดความรู้ ด้วยวิธีการสอนและการจัดการเรียนรู้หลากหลายรูปแบบเพื่อให้มนุษย์เกิดการเรียนรู้ และพัฒนาศักยภาพของตนให้มีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นอาชีพครู สามารถจำแนกออกได้หลายประเภทตามลักษณะการสอนและลักษณะของสังกัด
6. ข้าราชกาลทหาร : อาชีพทหาร คือ อาชีพรั่วของชาติ มีหน้าที่ปกป้องอธิปไตยของชาติให้คงอยู่ ค่อยตรวจสอบความสงบเรียบร้อยตามบริเวณชายแดน และป้องปราบชาติอื่น ๆ ไม่ให้รุกรานอาชีพทหารเป็นอาชีพที่เสียสละเพื่อบ้านเมืองให้เกิดความสงบเรียบร้อย ไม่ให้ผู้ได้มารุกรานชาติบ้านเมือง


รายได้ของแต่ละอาชีพ
1.ทนายความ รายได้ที่ได้รับ : 8,500 – 100,000 บาท ตามงานที่ได้รับ
2.ที่ปรึกษากฎหมาย รายได้ที่ได้รับ : ค่าตอบแทนไม่มีข้อกำหนดที่แน่นอนตายตัว อัตราค่าตอบแทนโดยเฉลี่ยประมาณเดือนละ 50,000 – 100,000 บาท
3.รายได้ที่ได้รับ : เงินเดือนเเละเงินประจำตำเเหน่งตามชั้นเงินเดือนจากชั้นที่ 1 จนถึงชั้นที่ 8 อัยการสูงสุดจะได้รับเงินเดือนๆ ละ 62,000 บาท และเงินประจำตำแหน่งชั้น 8 เดือนละ 42,500 บาท ลงมาถึงอัยการผู้ช่วยจะได้รับเงินเดือนชั้นที่ 1 โดยไม่มีเงินประจำตำแหน่งในอัตราเดือนละ 14,850 บาท
4.ผู้พิพากษา รายได้ที่ได้รับ : ผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งผู้พิพากษาประจำศาลถึงอธิบดีผู้พิพากษา (ศาลชั้นต้น) จะมีอัตราเงินเดือน 21,800 – 57,190 บาท ศาลฎีกาถึงรองประธานศาลฎีกาจะมีอัตราเงินเดือน 57,190 - 62,000 บาท ผู้ดำรงตำแหน่งประธานศาลฎีกาจะมีอัตราเงินเดือน 64,000 บาท และมีเงินประจำตำแหน่ง 50,000 บาท
